pizza is prettygoodhere.  the big problem is it closes at 9:30.  i am usually not in the mood for a pizza until later.  plus it's pretty pricey for dough, sauce and cheese.

great pizza and sandwiches. i love the pizza here. the prices are pretty reasonable and the slices are large. this is great ny style pizza, but what i like even more is the meatball parmesian sandwiches. the meatballs have a lot of flavor and to be honest... it aint easy overcooking a meatball ya know what i'm sayin' ...so it pretty much comes outgoodevery time. the chicken parmesian on the other hand sometimes comes out a little dry, but usually is very good. the lasania is excellent.

i forgot to mention the sour dough buns on the sandwiches are really good. all-and-all i would say that luigi's rarely disappoints. i go there all the time for lunch because i know i can getgoodfood cooked up by the friendly local new york mexican kitchen staff with all that italian marinara running through their veins!

luigi's is a gem in the rough, located at s tryon and i-485.

make sure to get your shopping done at walmart, then head over to luigi's afterwards for a pie!

i love it!. it is always a treat to get luigi's pizza- the slices are as big as my torso and so good. this is the closest to ny pizza i can find in charlotte. the parking sucks but when you want a slice bad enough you can park by wal mart and walk. i have never had anything bad here. anyone that says they have had better pizza from domino's or any of the chain places does not knowgoodpizza. this is pizza for grownups, not kids birthday parties.

would not eat here again. this was recommended by a friend and he gavegoodreviews. and i saw what everyone else has written.... very, very disappointed. crust was bland, canned mushrooms and black olives. and the girl who took my order must have been having a bad day. if you want minimum priced pizza that is really blah, then this is your place. i have to say that i have had better pizza from domino's and mellow mushroom is way, way better.

one of the 3 best in charlotte. i have lived on all sides of charlotte except for
the westside & the eastside. and i'm not planning on moving to those areas either. lol luigi's is certainly in the top 3 of all pizza parlors in charlotte. the key is you have to like nyc type pizza. so if you think domino's, pizza hut or papa john's is good, you probably won't like
real pizza. it's sorta like thinking olive garden makesgooditalian food. at luigi's ( and i think the whitehall
location is the best since the owner does the cooking
there), the slices are new yorkesque, meaning they're
huge. the crust is thin and the cheese and the sauce
are excellent. unless you're feeding a platoon, the small
pizza is huge, 8 cuts and always too big for the huge box
they put it in. if it was any bigger it wouldn't fit in the box,
and in your oven to keep warm. at this writing i've only
tried in addition to the pizza, the meatball subs, which
are also very good. i will be trying their italian dishes very
shortly and i can't wait. you can't miss with luigi's.
