big dreams, horrid reality. i've tried so many times to love this place, i see the sign "voted best diner" outside and get occasional things in my letterbox saying "local favourite". i went over a year ago and it wasn't too bad, but it's gotten to the stage that the food actually looks as bad as it tastes. the staff are tired, and over the life of serving. on car free day it was empty, which does not bode well.
i feel like i have to note i'm not fussy, i'll sit and read a book patiently. i'll eat food that is ok, because it's cheap and i don't have to make it. i don't need servers to be attentive and all over me, but this is past that level of casualness.
get a fresh cook, some more staff with experience or passion to inject some life in the place and bring back what looks and feels so promising as a local diner!
