one of the restaurants that opens 24hours, not much of these or atleast the one that i have in mind, my go to 24hours is still in number 9. came in to the place while i was in the neighbourhood ordered, a couple items most of them burgers, and pasta type of food,  shakes, and well overall i would say the food is slightly below what i have expected to be average in terms of seasoning, some are just a little bit over with the seasoning as well, maybe it's only happens to me, but overall the food was subpar i would say.

love love love lucy's diner. its open 24/7 which is great for drunken late nights. their breakfast is where its at. the decor inside is cute.. exactly what you would think when you imagine a quaint diner. they have boozy milkshakes which is always a plus!

first of, 24/7. that's a big plus in my books.
secondly, all day breakfast.

it's small and cramped, normally fairly busy, but that's just part of smaller vancouver restaurants.

i love the breakfasts. classic dinner food.
this page is best after a show late at night or very early in the morning.

walking around main street, we stumbled upon lucy’s eastside diner.  it is open 24 hours and serves classic diner food like burgers and milkshakes.  looking at the menu posted outside, it seemed like a good place for some fast and filling eats.

good food, diner itself was very cramped and slightly dirty. although still a total retro diner, the milkshakes were old-fashioned and thick. despite the environment itself, i would totally recommend.

these were the best pulled pork pancakes i have had and for the amount of food you get i thought it was good value. the pancakes were light and fluffy and not too doughy or undercooked. the pulled pork had the perfect balance of sweet and smokiness and wasn’t too overwhelming for eating early in the day.

this 24 hour eastside diner gives me the nostagia feeling of taken back into a 60’s theme diner with hightops, milkshakes and burgers. as most places close early on a sunday, grabbing a late night bite might be hard but luckily there is places like these that open 24 hours! . had to get the milkshake, hoagie and the fried chickenstrawberry milkshake $5.25

lucy’s diner on a rainy day for some wholesome hearty food. pulled pork on mac & cheese with poutine, chicken burger with onion rings, strawberry milkshake…. this was delicious, just because we were hungry and not because it was good. onion rings and poutine were cold, definitely refried and refried again. so hard to chew. i vaguely remember it being a lot better 2 years ago, at 2am, after a night of clubbing… well, i had a beer at a company staff appreciation event, but was nowhere close to being drunk.

lucy’s eastside diner on main street is where i pop by for breakfast, or when everything is closed late at night, for dessert. affordable comfort food, big portions, licensed and open 24 hours! it’s pretty hard to find nice places to hang out with friends that are open late in vancouver (other than pubs/bars, some dessert cafes, and bubble tea shops) and this is one of them! pictured is the apple pie - with option to make it a la mode. you can’t really go wrong with anything on their menu - expect your diner classics, like breakfast plates, refillable coffee, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, and burgers etc.

so it's entirely possible that i ordered wrong, so i'm giving the dish i had a 0.0, but the environment a 4.0 -- which averages out to 2.0. the uncle ev's chorizo hash tanked. i have an aversion to left-overs so when i taste something that resembles it, it doesn't sit right with me. the hash felt like pre-cooked potato and chorizo that has been sitting around for a while (it's a 24-hour restaurant so it's possible i guess), re-deepfried, and mixed up with pre-made fried onions which were soggy. i would definitely stay away from this dish. i will give lucy's another try some other time and go with some of the readers' suggestions next time. the diner vibe is definitely very charming, and the staff is friendly.

this is a great little diner if you want to eat some comfort food in the late hours of the night. i've gone there a couple of times at 1 or 2 am to have a slice of pie and the place is usually filled with people that are starting to wind down from their wild night! fun little place to eat but don't expect the joint to be quiet.

seriously my favorite place to come for after a night of binge drinking, a long shift, a long day etc. so basically any time late at night is a great time for lucy's. i usually go for their chicago hot dog because that really hits the spot, with their vanilla milkshake. yum. the three pigs benny is also good. pleasant service and open at all hours of the day, can't ask for much more than that.

excellent mac & cheese, seriously excellent. it's a classic dinner complete with vinyl seats and milkshakes. a little in the $$ side but a really nice feeling spot and good food to match.

mediocre is a good word to describe lucy's. the service was okay, but simply placing our order for two milkshakes took about 15 minutes. these were the most satisfying items on the menu, as my buttermilk pancakes were very undercooked. however, has really cool decor and a great diner feel. will come again, but only for dessert.
