lucky shaker is a cocktailbarshaking up some creative cocktails. friendly staff and delicious drinks. with abarsetting, there aren't many seating areas for you and friends to gather around and we spent our entire evening at the bar, a little difficult to enjoy food. we were looking forward to enjoying tacos but with our table being given to another group of people we left not having enjoyed all that they offered.

trendy little place that serves great cocktails... thebartenders are quite knowledgeable about the menu as well as off menu options. worth a visit.

not the slickest cocktailbardecor and set in a business area with limited other bars or eateries nearby, lucky shaker is possibly the best cocktailbari’ve been to based on purely their cocktails. their blends are exceptionally well crafted and presented, with subtleties in their flavors and never overpowered by any one element.

popped in for cocktails after a gin festival...there was an excellent vibe but didn’t appreciate the bouncer at the door who was picky about letting certain people in. the cocktails were delicious and thebartenders are efficient at making complex cocktails.

a really unique range of cocktails; i'd recommend the antidote. the lamb tacos are incredible as a starter and the burgers are great too.

the ambiance is similar to that of a classic new yorkbarand the service is the best that one could wish for. one of durban's gems.

lucky shaker has become my families go-to cocktailbarin umhlanga and with good reason. there's a great vibe, amazing cocktails, and good food all under one roof.
word of advice: come early. this is a popular venue and the seats fill up quickly so if you plan on coming in a group of six or more people i recommend getting there timeously.
my favourite part of the evening was definitely the cocktails. the cocktail menu is diverse, original and ranges from fruity to strong. there is also a chalkboard with alternative cocktails written on it that change more frequently than those on the menu. i personally like the fruity cocktails and adored all of the ones i tried (if only i could remember their names!).
the food is also a hit. we ordered a variety of meals ranging from the starter nachos to burgers. while everyone really enjoyed their meal we found the nachos to be underwhelming. the burgers looked particularly delicious and well prepared.
the only thing i could really critique is that there is not a bathroom in the venue: you have to leave and walk to a separate part of the building when you need the loo.
overall we had a great time fueled by amazing cocktails and i cannot wait to return.

had a marvellous night of unique drinks at lucky shaker! the service was great as the barman went out if his way to ensure my friend and i were satisfied with our drinks! thebararea is beautiful! will definitely be back.

lucky shaker is a trendy cocktailbarlocated in the hub of umhlanga. it is quite small but it's very accommodating to all guests. young adults find it a lovely go to for a drinks (or drinks) after work with friends or colleagues or for pre drinks before a big night out!

my friends and i visited lucky shaker earlier on this year and quite enjoyed their food and drinks, even though it was very busy! they offered a wide selection of cocktails and the waiters were friendly while advising on which one to try according to our specifications. we were each happy with our selection. my friends ordered burgers as a main meal and i tried their lamb taco. their food was of s good standard however the burgers were a bit dry. i would definitely go back to try more of their cocktails.

perfect for after work drinks- a wide variety of cocktails. i love that they dont compromise on the food quality because of thebaratmosphere. tacos were amazing.

brilliant. i had the most amazing night here, a small & chicbarwith an incredible atmosphere. perfect service, no drink was left un-filled along with divine food to snack on. friends took me here as a surprise for my birthday & i can't wait to go back.
