popped in for a glass of wine and portion of ribs. very nice, relaxed grown-up pub vibe. its like our local, but one step up. will definately go there more often.

good food, great beer and lovely ambience to go with.... couldn’t have asked for more on that dreadful rainy night which got me extremely sick the next day.... but yeah an experience worth taking

this outlet could potentially be an excellent venue due to it location and very sought-after decor. but as a restaurant, ours was a lousy experience: the service was practically non existent and the waitress that walked us to our table was probably more interested in finishing her shift than take our order etc.. once we places our order we had to wait another good 20 minutes before being served. this is not a cheap place and you would expect a service to match the venue but sadly this was not the case. this might be good as a bar/pub but i don’t recommend the restaurant part of the business.

really great burger. perfect for meeting mates and having a beer in the bar or going out with the family and sitting in the resturant. nice and warm fires during the winter. lovely vibe all around

we met at peddlars after the 2 oceans, i was just a spectator. we had the chicken burger. the menu on zomato is outdated, as it came with cheese and a cranberry jam (i think) - whatever the topping, it was a really good burger. service was good and the ambience quite festive.

i've been to peddlars on two occasions quite recently and have enjoyed both times.

i love how quiet and isolated it is. with multiple seating options which ranges from at the bar, inside or outside at the terrace. yesterday, i visited with a friend and we actually ate main meals. my friend opted for the 500g pork ribs with chips and i had the local burger which came topped with feta, bacon and guacamole. their portions are generous and i was amazed at how succulent my burger was. it was saucy and cooked to perfection, medium rare like i asked. my friend enjoyed his ribs and despite being super hungry, couldn't finish his food.

i quite enjoy their wine list, which has wines from around the constantia region. we opted for the la motte on our first occasion and had the buitenblanc blend yesterday.

this is a wonderful little cafe which not only boasts a good menu with generous portions but has wonderful service.

fast service, my vegetarian mushroom burger was delicious! the creamy sauce what come with also. parking always available.they also have some specials each day i think. will come back!

a recent discovery with my work mates, a women's day treat! really love the gin board, intact went back 2 days later to try more gin! had the fish and chips meals, simple but good!

i went to peddlars twice in one week. first was for an intimate dinner and the second time was for drinks with friends.

i loved how theres many seating options, whether you want to be in an intimate space, outside or by the bar, everyone is well catered for. on both occasions they waiters were warm and paid attention to detail.

one of their speciality is their wide range of gin&tonic. i would have to go back every week if i want to get through their selection by the end of the year

the food however was abit disappointing, the options are discouraging if you want something more healthy. overall i will definitely go back for drinks soon.

not terribly impressed with peddlars. it's a nice environment for drinks, but their menu isn't very extensive when it comes to food. i had a pimms cup and it was good, but nothing special. can't say i'll be back in a terrible hurry.

my cousins and i often meet at peddlars for gin as they have a wide variety of local gins. this is the perfect spot in the southern suburbs to meet up with friends and enjoy summer.

i have eaten inside the restaurant and enjoyed the experience too. i think peddlars is one of the only restaurants that a sophisticated dining restaurant and an area in the back for a more laid back meetup with friends. i prefer being at the back at the bar, enjoying hope on hopkins gin or hendricks gin. yummy.

service is friendly and, more than often, drop-dead-gorgeous. 😁

what this local pub is lacking in atmosphere is made up for in the food with three menus to choose from.... tapas, lunch menu and bar menu. the 'student service' can be a bit slow. outdoors area as well as a fireplace are on offer here along with a 'big screen' for sports enthusiasts.

went to local for an early wintery sunday lunch. decent pub atmosphere, but would be stunning to sit outside on a cape spring or summer day. the food was good and service likewise, but r170 for lamb shank - the same price as the fancy volare next door - was a bit expensive for pub grub.
