best meal in asheville!. i would never have expected it given asheville's focus on southern food and vegetarian cuisine, but after a week of dining there, i have to say hands down our best meal was at limones. vegetable enchiladas were fantastic as was the steak, margaritas, and homemade chips and salsa. highly recommend this place.

great brunch but semi limited gluten free menu. we went there for brunch & had the most amazing margaritas. i highly recommend the blood orange one. the coconut one was good too, but not as good as the blood orange one. the asparagus omelet was a great gluten free option. please be advised that if you are gf, you won't be able to eat their chips or tortillas. i was told by the waitress that they both contain 5% flour. the flan they had was unbelievably good & gf. it had an orange sauce on it.

i can see why limones is one of the more popular restaurants in asheville. considering that we didn't have a reservation - we didn't think we needed one since it was in the middle of the week - our timing was impeccable as a reservation was cancelled just moments after we walked in. the menu was intriguing and interesting, the decor and ambiance was upscale old south, and about the only thing that was sort of out of kilter was the rather indifferent attitude of our server that evening. my food came out a good two to three minutes before my wife and there was no explanation as to why that happened. other than that, we felt our experience at limones was top notch and it was one of the better places we ate at during our trip to asheville.

best dinner in 6 months. whenever we go to asheville we always go to limones. we would really like to try some other restaurants but
limones is something we look forward to and it never disappoints. the last time we were there we had what i
would call a memorable meal. every bite was so delicious. my entree had the most amazing flavors. just outstanding!
my only wish is that they would open another location closer to where we live. (tryon) maybe one in hendersonville?
we need good restaurants so badly down this way.

started off poorly. we were seated 30 min later than our reservation. appetizers were bland. finished with the scallops and beef tenderloin which almost made up for the big mistake at beginning.

good food, just don't take your kids. we visit asheville on a quarterly basis because we enjoy the city's culture, food, and general vibe. although we enjoyed our food at limones, we likely will not be back...for 18 years. as an adult, i felt somewhat welcome at the restaurant. but my child, who is 18 months, clearly was not welcome. there were no options for kids, which would have been ok had the server, hostess, or really any staff had at least acknowledged the fact that we had a baby with us. no one asked if we needed a high chair, which made for a very tricky dining experience. but i suppose since she had to eat off my plate since there weren't any kid-friendly options, i guess no one thought to ask if i might want a high chair, a cup with a lid, extra napkin, or extra plate. because we had made the reservation for four, they assumed the three adults were waiting on a fourth adult, because, you know, babies are not people. had i known she would not have been welcome and that the restaurant was not prepared to serve a young, yet surprisingly sophisticated, diner, then i most definitely would have dined at one of the many family-friend restaurants in the city. disappointed.

i had the shrimp enchiladas. omg. fantastic!!!! we had the cerviche sampler. it was good. the spicy tuna and red snapper was the best. they are known for the margaritas. my friends had the beef tacos and mahi mahi and said it was good. the tacos were fantastic. i think everyone enjoyed the enchiladas best. also we had the scallops were excellent but the watermelon salsa on the side of it was okay

way to start sunday!. we had brunch at limones last sunday, and both of us loved what we ordered. the chili relleno plate with eggs and garnishes was delicious with savory and mildly spicy flavors. my husband ordered the huevos rancheros and was a happy man with his choice. we plan on returning to enjoy dinner there the next time we're in asheville--and probably will indulge again in the restaurant's delicious brunch as well!

flavor galore! since i'm pregnant, the server recommended peach-chipotle margarita sans the tequila. wow- yum! best non-alcoholic drink i've had. the lobster nachos were good but wouldn't get again- limited lobster and small portion but tasty. the lamb burrito --- my mouth waters thinking about it! delicious, succulent, and big. we plan to return to this spot :)

expectations met again. we hadn't been here in months but wanted a special dinner. the service was great, waitress attentive and knowledgeable. mushroom enchiladas and beef enchiladas were superb. very flavorful and creative. margaritas divine. chocolate flourless dessert worth the calories. what more could you want?? would recommend this to everyone.

in the evening, we strolled into limones – only a few minutes late for our reservation :). very intimate yet elegant spot. i got the margarita caliente, which lived up to its name! a hint of habanero really gave it a kick. as soon as we saw lobster nachos on the menu, we had to order them. they were good — so different than your average americanized nachos! lots of sweet, smoky flavors with interesting add-ons like purple cabbage.

limones is a mexican restaurant, but on weekends they serve up a mouth-watering mexican-inspired brunch. (yes, those are churros with a cup of hot chocolate pictured above!) they have some brunch classics, like the scone pictured below, but they also have a comprehensive menu of unique brunch dishes. i ordered the three cheese chile relleno with two fried eggs, home fries, guacamole, creme, and cascabel sauce (see final picture below). i loved  it. i’d eat it again right now if i could. you should go eat it. seriously. go!

meh. i had the duck with canollini bean ragout, which seemed really unbalanced as a dish. there was too much protein and not enough vegetable. lots of celery, but to me celery is more of a flavor than a vegetable you eat as a meal. i didn't come away satisfied. my date liked the seafood stew though. service was excellent, though almost too intense.
