although lesbubbleshas been established since 2015, it still remains a prominent restaurant in fortitude valley.
i'll be honest, the venue definitely appealed to me more than the food with its classic neon signs, tiled floor and red booths. if you're not already aware, the venue used to be a brothel. now, the restaurant is a parisian theme. downstairs in the 'bath house', you'll find yourself more of a relaxed atmosphere where you can have a drink. upstairs is where the action is at where the chefs are on display and the lighting and music are just right so you can settle in for the food.
the small salad was delicious; lettuce, radish and walnuts doused in french dressing (of course). it's amazing how few ingredients can satisfy the tastebuds.
lesbubblesserves one meal: grass fed, scotch fillet steak served medium rare but you can alter this if desired. this is accompanied by fries and the main standout, the sauce. we had all three sauces to try but the standout was definitely the green peppercorn and cognac. all of the sauces are very rich however. added bonus, you can refill the sauces and fries, but you definitely don't need to as the meal is quite filling.
the only thing that didn't go down so well personally was the amount of salt on the fries. each to their own, but it was far too salty for me.
the service was prompt, the food didn't take too long and the atmosphere was fitting. give it a try!
