leo's is a mixed bag. leo's has been around for a while. i never had it in the old days, but i've been told by several people that it used to be better. in fact, i've been told it was unbeatable. now, it's not the best bbq. that being said, it's not bad at all, as far as the meat is concerned. the meat is actually very good. the atmosphere is just right for a bbq place: smoky and no frills. the staff is very friendly. now for the negatives: the sauce is way too sweet for my liking. and the sides are nothing to write home about. the beans were alright, at best, and the baked potato was not baked enough. they also serve it as is, with just a tiny bit of butter to add flavor. the prices are a little high, but that's par for the course when it comes to bbq, unfortunately.
i would go back to leo's, and plan to in the near future. however, the meat is the main draw here. everything else, i could pass on. maybe getting it to go would be better. that way i could use head country bbq sauce instead of leo's.
