the best nights start out with spontaneity. we walked in on a busy saturday night and were lucky to get a table. i ordered the southside chicken burger. the burger was simple and hit the spot. the good news is that they didn't try to do too much with the burger which was appreciated. the restaurant can get a little loud so probably not the bestplacefor a deep and meaningful.

a very cool retro spot to hang out. super delicious burgers. the patties are juicy so tasty! thisplaceis in my hood and i would like to come back and try the other burgers!

my first and second apartments were both in south yarra. but in that time i had never made it to leonard’s house of love. i definitely heard the noise, and saw the back part of the kitchen. this made me think theplacewas at least a little bit ‘grungy’. and now that i’ve tried it, it’s definitely grungy, but a good grungy with amazing burgers to match.

leonard's house is a coolplaceto hang out for a burger and a beer. the chicken strips were tasty to but the burgers are tip top here. quality patties and tasty burgers

i have visited this restaurant plenty of times, possibly the best burgers in melbourne i have ever had, however the staff that work at the restaurant are very arrogant, they seem to always serve tables with people who are not of colour first and visit their tables much more often than my table (people of colour). at first i thought it was a one time thing, but i have been to thisplaceover 10 times and each time the staff seem to ignore us when we try and call them to order, they are slower to take our orders than other tables, which have people who are not of colour. i think the burgers and the food are absolutely fantastic and thisplaceshould get 5 stars if it wasn't for the arrogant and racist workers.

located just off the famous chapel rd, was introduced to thisplaceby my friend.

tried their famous burger & it absolutely blew my mind, so good & satisfying 🍔

i don't normally leave reviews for food but leonard's house of love is an absolute standout for me. ordered the vegan burger and vegan chilli fries and was blown away. delicious, hearty and meaty (yes a weird expression for vegan food). not to mention the atmosphere of theplaceis really laid-back and homely. it is a pretty decent experience eating delicious food with 70s rock blaring in the background. will be back many times in the future!

great service and amazing food everytime! really cool, laidback set up! dog friendly with beer garden, inside bar and pool table. always really friendly staff and fast service.
the food is amazing. one of the best beef burgers you can get in melbourne! also love their hot habanero chicken thigh;amazing flavor and heat!!
definitely recommend this as a go-toplacefor amazing burgers and coolplacefor drinks! will keep coming back!

leonard's has all your friday favourites. a good selection of burgers but really everyone goes there to get the fried chicken burger. and all the usual suspects for sides, chips, tater tots, onion rings the lot.

greatplacefor a team lunch or for some drinks on a friday arvo.

visited leonards house of love in south yarra earlier this year with my friend!

atmosphere:
the inside feels like an old western bar movie almost, i enjoyed the mood lighting and the decor (old memorabilia)

food:
we we're ready to eat a feast and so we ordered plenty to try as much variety as possible...
- cheeseburger
- south side fried burger
- onion rings
- mac n cheese
- cheese n gravy loaded fried
- hot apple cider

i had been meaning to try out lhol for quite some time after positive reviews from friends so i was super impressed when it lived up to the standard. the food was outstanding, cooked perfectly and very tasty! the drink special: hot apple cider was delightful. would recommend thisplaceto anyone who loves burgers! can't wait to visit again soon. 🤩

who doesn’t love fried chicken!! and they do it well here. the tenders are juicy with a tangy spicy sauce. the burger bun is light and sweet, the burger patty edges are smoky and flavoursome. mac and cheese couldve had more flavour, but the onion rings are crispy and large. some onion rings are oily and heavy. service is great. coolplacewith hipster vibe.

theplacehave a good vibe but the service is just bad! they’re very racist against asians and foreigners! i went there with my mates after work and they refused to sell us drinks with me being australian . no service at all

what dreams are made of thisplacei rate as the best burger in melbourne having tried over 100 places. what sets them apart is the exquisite beef patties on offer combined with a subtle but satisfying special sauce. also tried the popcorn chicken and tenders during this visit which were up to the standard. a must visit for burger lovers in this city.

came here for their hyped double cheeseburger. it was a good burger, no doubt. creamy, cheesy and had some flavour to it.

additionally to this, ordered popcorn chicken and coke zero. the popcorn chicken was average at best and the coke zero was flat.

on top of this, the customer service seemed fleeting, didn’t get served for a while, ended up walking to the server to get my order. you also can’t eat in the smoking area, which was odd. what happens if i want to enjoy a bowl of chips while having a smoke.
i’d probably give thisplace3.5/5 tbh.

just behind a picket fence in a side street off chapel lies leonard's house of love. a grungy 70's inspired dive bar hosted by bearded hipsters serving an array of misfits, roustabouts and chillers. offering american comfort food staples including hot chicks, dirty dogs and greasy buns this is one heck ofplacein south yarra with an ozark meets pulp fiction vibe....
