some of the crowd is a bit wanky but all is forgotten when your sitting in front of a nice pile of burg. love the 70’s lounge room set up, perfect for sitting off the sunday blues in.

will be back and will back often. miss you already x

leonards house of love had a food truck at download festival. i ordered a vegan burger and it was delicious! it was a really meaty type one. though was really slippery needed something else in there to keep it together iunno.. or don't put the aioli and the cheese in the same layer. but i'll definitely come visit the restaurant some time, i hope they have more vegan options there!

ordered through uber eats!

tenderloins and mac and cheese! the tenderloins were delicious so juicy and the dipping sauce and pickle that comes with it are amazing!

mac and cheese was good!

came here for their hyped double cheeseburger. it was a good burger, no doubt. creamy, cheesy and had some flavour to it.

additionally to this, ordered popcorn chicken and coke zero. the popcorn chicken was average at best and the coke zero was flat.

on top of this, the customer service seemed fleeting, didn’t get served for a while, ended up walking to the server to get my order. you also can’t eat in the smoking area, which was odd. what happens if i want to enjoy a bowl of chips while having a smoke.
i’d probably give this place 3.5/5 tbh.

just behind a picket fence in a side street off chapel lies leonard's house of love. a grungy 70's inspired dive bar hosted by bearded hipsters serving an array of misfits, roustabouts and chillers. offering american comfort food staples including hot chicks, dirty dogs and greasy buns this is one heck of place in south yarra with an ozark meets pulp fiction vibe....

it is ~48°c in melbourne and i have just posted my delivery order to leonard's house i'd love.. two orders of chicken tenders: one regular, one hot and glazed. the weather has my face hot and glazed ha ha but my tummy cried out for a bit of that treatment too ;)

ubers eat mind you, these tenders will be coming in a car. this is a live review and when i am assigned uber driver i can tell you more about the car.. but for now? we wait..

interesting news just in.. these tenders are are coming on a bike, numberplate 2f*** (redacted for privacy). what i wouldn't give to feel wind though my hair. if you're going to be safe on a bike please wear a helmet.

this place is the best! their constantly open arms towards my dog constantly has me weak at the knees. if you want your pooch to be appreciated, this is the place to go. sweetwater inn is no longer, but leonard's house of love took over the travesty that was tryst and sweetwater's legacy lives on. the kitchen pumps out a range of incredible southern american food (there's even a veg burger option), and the short wine list will cater to all. there's a roaring fire indoors in the winter - the perfect date spot to hang with your hound. thanks for always looking after us when we come in (and for the never-ending supply of dog treats (except for that time when the ants marched in and ate them all) - my pooch talks about you guys constantly!).

terrific atmosphere. even on a tuesday night this place was buzzing. bar service was quick for a busy place. cocktails were delicious, the perfect strength and had nice touches like fresh berries and mint.

shame i can’t rate this place 10 stars... where do i even begin! a fantastic outdoor setup with the smell of friend chicken in the air. no other place has had me more satisfied while sinking a cold beer and double beef burger. was i in heaven?? who cares, i’ll be back!

i’d like to give 4.5 stars.. i’m not a burger eater but i got chicken burger and i’m in love with it’s juicy fried chicken, cheese and the bun. it’s worth to try if you’re in the area.

best burgers, best chicken tenders, best loaded fries in melbourne! i absolutely love the vibe here... it’s super cool, chilled and totally unpretentious. what set them apart from other bars in melbourne is that it’s totally dog friendly! our pooch got to enjoy the evening as it was her bday night! thanks for having us!

this is a great place to catch up with friends over a drink and fried chicken. the chicken tenders and so crispy and delicious. the hot sauce was not as spicy as we expected but still tasty nevertheless. even the pickles that come with it are great. it can get busy but it’s worth it!

i loved the ambience and vibes. though it was loud it was loud in a good way. although i couldn’t finish my hot burger chicken i had a great time. the hot chicken burger is really really spicy like really. the staff were also very friendly :)

the food & vibe are great. happy hours by 7pm from memory. we had a jug of beer and ordered a burger and nachos to share. staff is friendly and helpful.

i was curious by this place because it is also the name of one of my favourite songs by east 17.

i had the fried chicken sandwich. i enjoyed that it was on white sandwich bread. brought me back to the 90s. in a world where brioche is king, it's nice to see white bread. the chicken itself was juicy instead and crunchy on the outside. i really enjoyed it. the onion rings were pretty good.

you wouldn't find this place walking down chapel street, but enough people know about this place. it's very melbourne to seek your food, and people should seek this house of love.
