picked up the chicken tikka platter for takeout before the champions league final this saturday. food was packaged well to travel, sauces separated from meat and veggies. tandoori sauce is awesome, sweet and tangy, perfect amount of spice. fresh cucumber tomato and onion salad was a nice palate cleanser. great food, nice portions. i'll be back.

best indian i have had in a long time. great service and the price was great for the amount of food.

this is one of the closest indian restaurant to vcu. they have a very nice ambiance. their lunch menu includes a soup or salad with roti, rice, choice of your gravy  and a sweet to go with. it is filing for one person  and affordable it is. their ala carte menu has a good variety of appetizers and entree's.

fantastic service! we had a very friendly waiter and the food was good. it was my first time having indian food - so it was definitely different and full of flavor.

done with lemon. i love indian food. it probably kept me married for years after we had nothing else. and then i found lemon on broad. i have been to lemon at least 20 times. but every time i order from them, the food is wrong or late. tonight it was one more example - they didn't even bother to give me the entrée i ordered. i will not order from here again. which stinks because i have wanted a good indian place near me. oh well.

mmmm... really fine entrées. we really enjoyed our lamb saag and lamb mushroom curry; not gamey at all and packed with flavor. "medium-hot" was just right, not excessive. cheese naan with raita dipping sauce was good to start.

best indian food in greater rva area. better than anokha, which i also like. service was good too, and music not loud.

a joke!. this place is a joke in the name of indian cuisine. there might be other dishes which would be average, but don't ever try any biryani there. they simply don't understand the biryani recipe. they think mixing rice with some small pieces of chicken is biryani. what a joke of a place and mind it - its ways too expensive!

i've eaten here a few times. every time has been amazing. a bit out of the way for me, but i keep finding myself back here. the food is amazing, the staff is attentive and fun to joke with and the atmosphere is wonderful. wish they had a few more locations. the menu i have found is better than other places in town for what i like. so i keep coming back.

went for lunch. ordered lamb korma- they asked would i prefer salad or lentil soup? i get a starter? ok soup. great curry lentil soup! then lamb came, with naan included and a side of curried beans! then dessert, too! for $10!! really good food and amazing value.

96% of 86 people are not wrong. we typically eat at anohka and i actually think this is better food and the atmosphere is more authenticate for sure. we will be back!!!

new favorite cuisine. i came here last year with a group of friends, though i was feeling sick at the time and couldn't appreciate the experience entirely. therefore, tonight i gave them a second chance.

there was a pleasant atmosphere from the moment i walked in. even with a small crowd already seated i had no problem receiving frequent hospitality and service. as soon as i sat down i was placed with a plate of traditional papadum, served with cilantro and chilies.
as an appetizer i ordered cheese nan which i ate too much of without giving thought to the sizable main dish that was on the way. the chicken chettinadu was fantastic with a perfect blend of flavor and spiciness. with the reasonable price also came a full meal's worth of leftovers that i will be happily enjoying tomorrow afternoon.

this would be a great place for a romantic evening, or a casual dinner with friends.

really good food. this was our 4th visit here and it just does not get any better that here. we were happy to see it was more crowded than out previous visits. food and service are excellent, and the atmosphere is a bit more upscale than the normal indian restaurant.
