in previous visits tomauiwe have enjoyed the entertainment of jd and harry on saturday afternoons. we were disappointed to learn they are no longer here at leilani’s on the beach. however, we did stop for nachos, the veggie humus platter and chicken wings. all of the food was delicious. the hostess seems to enjoy making people wait outside, even if there are empty tables. she also chooses who she will give a mask to and who she won’t. a family arrived from the beach and didn’t have masks. she told them lelani’s didn’t provide masks. however, a few minutes later, a gentleman that she knew asked for a mask and she opened up a cupboard and provided one. it’s also a great place to watch people on the boardwalk.

after staying inmauifor 5 nights, my husband and i visited leilani's 4 times. a huge testament to how much we liked it given that we both wanted to try different food.

it's located right by the water next to the westinmauiand whaler's village. the service was great every time and the food was on point. favourite definitely had to be the pulled pork nachos. i ordered this about 3 times. also tried the chicken but the pork seemed to have a lot more meat. very generous service for the price we paid.

loved it and would definitely go back next time we are in maui.

hard to beat the view. like the other ts restaurants i've visited, leilani's on the beach was excellent. nice menu choices, very fresh food, friendly waitstaff. i had the parmesan crusted mahi mahi, which was delicious. my husband had the prime rib, paniolo style, which he found to be a bit salty for his taste. we split amauifresh salad which was very good, and plenty for the two of us. the restaurant was in easy walking distance of our hotel, the ka'anapali beach hotel, and in a nice little shopping area called whaler's village. the whaler's museum was interesting and definitely worth the time to visit.

great apps and dessert!. i have been tomauithree times and this was our third time going to leilani's. the service was good and the food was also good. definitely not our most amazing meal, but still good. the apps were the best part of the meal we had the butter poached scallops and the mushroom ravioli, both were amazing! the entrees were good, but not worth the $25-$35 per plate. we also enjoyed desserts.... we ordered every dessert :). we were offered a free hula pie since we were returning customers, which we also received the last time. all desserts were very good we did not have problem a finishing them all. the messy apple crisp would have to be number one.

we were suprised at the short wait on a saturday night. we ate in the beachside bar. excellent food and reasonable pricing. we had coconut schrimp and fish and chips. excellent a general problem in the islands is the lack of quality craft beer.mauibrewing and kona are palatable but just!

best tacos i had while inmaui! very friendly server( she taught the kids some hawaiian) and the best sunset views. go early, there's a bit of a wait if you want the outside beach tables.

both menus are awesome. i feel like this place needs two different reviews since it offers two different dining experiences... and i've done both. so here goes:

the upstairs area offers a fine dining menu. my husband and i both agree it was the most elegant and best priced meal during our entire stay in maui. we shared an appetizer salad (the caprese) and both selected two different fish specials. add wine, coffee and a shared dessert, all for around $100 including tip. the service was outstanding and the meal was, like i said, amazing. everything was well presented, fresh, flavourful and satisfying. definitely go to leilani's (dining room) for an elegant and delicious meal.

the downstairs area (beachside) is more suitable for lunch with great sandwiches, salads, burgers and beer. it was pretty good. i enjoyed it a little too much (surfing lessons immediately after indulging is not recommended...).

we will be back to leilani's on our nextmauivisit, for sure.

here fishy, fishy. try the fish taco. seriously. it's done so perfectly that it melts in your mouth and stays off the plate. i'm not a big seafood guy, but this food is amazing. we headed back for a second time in a couple of months and this was a "must visit" lunch. the view is right on the beach with the ocean just meters from your seat. the open air dining is truly a treat and the cocktails will have you feeling it better then themauiwowy...
