a 'must go to' when in plett, and be sure to get there early as it does fill up rather quickly!!
i gave le fournil a quick visit, initially, to try the sought after croissant aux amandes (almond croissant). if you are expecting a croissant in the traditional sense, you will be disappointed. while it is a sweet pastry, it's not really a croissant in the traditional sense, however it is spectacular in its own right. a definite try, and ensure you pick up some artisanal bread on your way out! they serve truth coffee, which is a firm favourite too.
the only downer: i've been a few times now, and as they are so busy, you tend to wait quite a while for your meal to be served. buuuut, particularly when ordering from thebakeryside, it's worth the wait!
