la ventana or the window is a taco shop. the decor and vibe are fantastic. i give it 5.0. the covered patio, look through "window" bar, picnic table seating, barn plank short walls, and acme brick walls are very well done. it's so well done, it creates confusion with the service, which i list as a 2.0. they are not friendly or helpful. the hot sauces are not labeled, so you have to take all three and sample to decide which you like. the orders are placed as you walk inside. you are given a fake name similar to what twisted root does. in this case, you can't hear your name called. they offer no help on how or even what to order. the food is decent, but it's the prices that will bring people here in droves. i ordered a bowl with carnitas and added a glass of tea for a total cost of $7.95. what a deal, and i left stuffed.
i highly recommend thisplaceto come have a beer or margarita with friends and munch on an okay taco. the vibe and prices will make you want to come back.
