there is a clear and definite art to making a good sandwich.  our society has become ignorant to this fact because of places like subways, whose so called sandwiches are filled with chemicals and pure garbage ingredients.  a goodsandwichis probably one of my most favourite things to eat, and that's why when i'm in south beach, la sandwicherie is always a must.   tucked away on collins cres. and 14th, this little takeout window is where all locals and people who know good sandwiches eat.  lineup or grab a seat, depending on the time of day, order up any of their manysandwichcombinations and watch the artists at work.   there is no joking here, this is no american sandwich, the owner knows the trick to making delicious sandwiches.  growing up in lyon france, he learnt a thing or two about good food and brought that back with him to south beach.   my first time trying this place was a few years back and ever since that first bite, i haven't been able to get this place out of my mind. fresh french baguettes, buttery croissants, and delicious wheat breads are your options to start your sandwich.  pile on the various gourmet cheeses, specialty meats or vegetarian options and boom, you got yourself a sandwicherie sandwich.  my two favourtie sandwiches are the roast beef and the prosciutto.  i dress them up differently every time, but i always stick to those two popular treats.   the roast beef lays a top delicious fresh baguette with a double cream brie, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers and french cornichons (little pickles).  there is only one little problem i have with this sandwich, it is way too big to fit in my mouth!  the tender thin but not too thin slices of roast beef and creaminess of the brie cheese are just a perfect combination.  the rest of the toppings takes this simplesandwichto a whole new level.  then, drizzled all over this goodness is a french vinaigrette.  a little dijon twist to a regular vinaigrette, this sauce brings the wholesandwicht

sometimes the simplest things are the most enjoyable – and that certainly holds true for la sandwicherie on miami beach. thissandwichbar tucked between the bp gas station and the tattoo parlor at 14th street and collins avenue offers a selection of sand

la sandwicherie is one of the top-rated restaurants in south beach, so i decided to give it a try one night. luckily, i was able to get a seat at the counter after i ordered (there was a bit of a wait to order, though). as it’s a popular late-night spot, the service is relatively quick for a first-come, first-serve basis. i decided to try the salmon croque, which came with a side salad. the salad was not appetizing (as it was only thesandwichtoppings), but thesandwichwas toasted with plenty of hot swiss cheese and salmon. there was so much salmon on the sandwich, which i was surprised about. their special vinaigrette took the cake here, as that is what makes the sandwich. luckily they give you a bottle of it to use liberally as you eat. my server was extremely friendly and talked to me throughout my meal. i felt very welcome here, and will definitely be back.

small, corner/alleysandwichshop in the heart of miami beach. seating only available along the counter with your back to the alleyway. i came here after i found good reviews online, and it did not disappoint! the baguette tasted fresh as well as the mozzarella and prosciutto. the plethora of toppings, especially the hot peppers and french pickles, really have thissandwicha great flavor and crunch. i loaded mine up with the special sauce- try it! next time i'm in south beach, i'll be back!

roast beef sandwich. i am in south beach all the time and la sandwicherie is one of my favorite stops for a quick bite. i love this place as it is an open space and you can sit at the counter and the service is quick and efficient. last time i had their roast beefsandwichand it did not disappoint! i usually go for the smoked salmon but this time i was in the mood for something else. the roast beef was very good and fresh.

la sandwicherie was one of the best discoveries i made back in ’07 while vacationing in south beach and looking for a good quick bite. it is now the first and last place i visit (plus many visits in between) on every trip to south beach.  the french team behind la sandwicherie serve hands down one of the best, freshest and tastiest sandwiches i’ve yet to get my hands on. so many different varieties to choose from. my favorite over time has become the sausiccon sec on a french baguette with extra cornichon and additional camembert cheese.  eachsandwichis topped with loads of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, black olives, green peppers, onions, french pickles and their mayo vinaigrette sauce (it’s highly addictive).  the count opts for the prosciutto and mozzarella every time (routines make him happy). i on the other hand have probably tried everysandwichon the menu over time, and there is one thing i’ve learned: you can’t go wrong with any of the choices.  you can choose to have

la sandwicherie is probably my first stop every time to south beach, usually my last stop before i leave, and it is my must stop on every visit in the area. it’s my happy place to eat at and makes south beach & miami itself enjoyable every trip down. every out-of-towner that i have sent there has enjoyed thesandwichand usually go back a few times while visiting south beach. it has been considered a hidden gem by locals, a long time before it was a popular destination. i know i’ve driven in, just for the sandwich, any time i travel to south florida. what can i say, i’m addicted to eating the saucisson sec with camembert cheese sandwich. when you get a chance, try out la sandwicherie and let me know what you think.
