after coming here for years i have never had a problem at all. 5* all around. my recent visit was dreadful. it was quite however we were sat right next to the kitchen so not the best. my parter i ordered a breakfast and the chicken pancakes. the breakfast was fine, although felt it missing something. the chicken pancakes were awful. raw veg, dry and the chicken wasn't fresh at all. it seemed like this were pre-cooked and warmed. in all honesty is was inedible. the server asked if everything was okay and we highlighted that the chicken pancakes wasn't great and it inedible. she picked up the food, said she would tell the chef and simply went to the bins (which were behind us) and binned the food. when the bill arrived i asked if the chicken waffles were still on the bill and despite complaining and not eating the food would i still have to pay the £10 for it. she said yes and walked away with full payment. upon leaving a shady comment of enjoy your weekend and we left. we were so disappointed and upset and honestly should not have been treated like this. no offer to replace the food, no offer to take it off the bill, no service or care at all. it would seem its all about the £££ and has lost what made it so unique and brilliant. avoid this place if you like quality food, fresh food, and good service.

great choice of food

we attended with an open mind and we weren’t disappointed. the choice if great and they offer a variety of full breakfasts including english, welsh, irish and scottish. i had the scottish as i like square sausage and it was fab. others ordered pancakes and bacon and syrup and they too ate the lot. the surroundings are really relaxed and chilled too which make the experience all the better. would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning. nice touch in offering a free bottle of tap water for the table too for those who don’t want tea or coffee.

wanted an authentic british easy sunday morning breakfast for my last day and my boyfriend brought me here.
we had to walk for a while but it was nice since we wouldn’t have the chance to visit that area otherwise.
cozy place which is slightly heavy for a breakfast place.
ordered a classic one with black pudim and tea. glad the pudim was for free because i was not expecting is to be a bloody rice sausage. to hardcore for the morning. food was good but not impressive compared to some foreign hotels that offer continental breakfast. the toast was too cold.
nice staff.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, breakfast is truly the greatest meal of the day. early doors or later, under the guise of ‘brunch’, i can make this work any which way. last week i headed to koffee pot to indulge my passion for pre-lunch nosh and to check out their (fairly) new premises on oldham street, not far from their former home on stephenson square.

had a really good breakfast at the koffee pot yesterday. with some good and bad points - starting with the good:

pros:
decent sized breakfast - left feeling satisfied without overstuffed (like i normally do in cafes)
everything you could want on the fry-up - hash brown, check, black pudding check, bacon sausage and egg, check...
builders tea served in proper mugs

cons:
15 minute wait for a table, followed by 20 minute wait for drinks and 40 minute wait for our food
would have preferred tinned toms to grilled but that's just me!

if your on the hunt for a fry up in manchester definitely give it a go!
