love their food. i love their food. i esp love that they have so many vegetarian options. i also love their spring rolls. they are the best i have ever had. however, their service is not that great. usually only one person managing all the tables. we never got refills on water and it took forever to get service. even with the poor service i will still return because i love their good.

hope they make it. food was good, but the service needs work. they clearly have some logistical issues. my hope is they hire an experienced restaurant manager, otherwise i'm afraid they won't make it.

it took 25 minutes to get water and for the owner to take our order. bubble tea came after food was delivered. missing tendon in my soup and broth was not hot enough. basil and sprouts came after the soup. people were leaving due to the wait to just order. never asked how the food was, which was not very good. steak was cooked considering the broth wasn't that hot. i don't have 2 hours to order and eat.

best pho i've ever had! and i've been to a lot of places! the chicken spring rolls are amazing! fresh grilled chicken with a charbroiled kind of taste, perfectly seasoned! and the pho is amazing! broth is perfect, and the chicken is great!

best place in auburn. we love this place! all the food is made to order with good ingredients, and attention to detail.
it is family owned and they take pride in their business.
my fav's - v2 vermicelli salad w/pork and eggroll and the kingrolls. the curry is also divine. the iced teas and coffees are fantastic.
this is not an american chain restaurant so if you're looking for that type of environment - eat elsewhere. good food takes it's own time.
my only minor complaint is that i have had to ask for side plates a few times. the plates are cool too.
we moved to auburn from seattle and are thrilled to have king of pho in our neighborhood.

king of pho: vegetarian delight!!!. i have some very excited news about the king of pho in auburn: they have a full new vegetarian menu!! i wrote (a rather unenamoured) blog about the king of pho a couple of months ago, but in the meantime they've had a complete shift in vegetarian priorities. what fantastic news!

i was temped by many of the items on the vegetarian menu, but decided upon the lemongrass tofu vermicelli bowl, and oh my god, it was a good choice.

their rendition of this dish (one of my vietnamese favorites) rivaled any other i've ever eaten. the tofu was freshly fried and coated in a spicy, richly flavored lemongrass chili paste and tossed with stir fried onions. half the bowl was full of vermicelli noodles, the other half was packed with lettuce, shredded cabbage, cucumbers, carrots and fresh herbs. the whole thing was covered in a generous blanket of dark roasted peanuts, and the small cup of sauce (meant to be poured over the bowl) was savory and unsweet, just how i like it.

i am so excited about this new development and will definitely be stopping here anytime i'm coming through auburn hungry. sitting here right now, looking at the picture of the dish, my mouth is watering so much i'd almost be tempted to drive to auburn just for this meal.

(on a meat note, my meat eating dining companion said that his dish was outstanding.)

how wonderful! south side vegans and vegetarians (and heck, your meat eating friends too) go check it out!

i am always interested in restaurants in the outer reaches of our area, especially those that make good post outdoor activity dinner stops. post outdoor activity dinners hold tremendous amounts of promise: you are hungry, you are tired, and you've likely just used up a zillion calories and thereby feel indulgent. yet many of the "on the way home" options turn out to be somewhat disappointing. a recent ski day at crystal mountain prompted dinner at king pho in auburn, which came highly recommended by my meat eating dining companion. i was pleased to see that there were indeed vegetarian options, including a tofu vermicelli bowl. i decided to order a little outside of my usual vietnamese arsenal and got "green beans and mushrooms with tofu". a quick chat with the waitress about not-frying the tofu revealed that she didn't speak english, and i decided not to engage on the "is the pho broth vegan? does the bun sauce have fish in it? can i have broccoli instead of mushrooms?" chain of inqui

service was a little slow as it seems only a couple work here but they were very friendly and the food was tasty. i will more than likely be back.

i love love love this place! compared to others the food actually tastes much better. it's so great that they are open on sundays (most asian cuisine obviously is not) and they are even open until 10:00 at night

the pho was really good, and the lemon grass beef over rice was 'the best'. very flavorful. the owner is helpful in explaining and recommending dishes. will eat here again next trip from california.

this vietnamese-canadian loves it. i can only envy a couple of my friends for living less than a hundred feet from this delightful establishment. the atmosphere although far from chic is quite refreshing, almost as if you've stepped off the wet coast and into warmer climates, a stark contrast to the 1970's mcdonald's style exterior that could do a better job of inviting people in to experience some of the best tasting vietnamese food i've ever experienced, and being a vietnamese-canadian i've been to a lot of vietnamese restaurants.

my bowl of pho tai nam gan sach looks like a typical bowl of pho but the first taste of broth and i knew that this restaurant was above the rest. the broth was well prepared with the perfect blend of all the ingredients required for its preparation with no hint of excess salt that would typically be added to broth not cooked long enough. the noodles themselves were cooked to just the right consistency and the cuts of meat generous.

my wife seemed to enjoy her bowl of vermicelli which was served with above average presentation, the cuts of meat did not have the greasiness she complains about at a few other restaurants and the nuoc mam like most restaurants is good.

if you happen to be in the area, this is not a restaurant to miss!
