korean it is. first impressions. busy with clientele of korean descent. i usually see that as a good sign.
service: promptly seated, one waitress, overworked. there was a man helping out, don't know his exact role.
menu: standard. we had diner for 3, it was $10 more than for 2. the portions of mandoo and shrimp did not increase with the number of guests. i hate that, however, they are not the only korean restaurant to do that.
food: salad and dressing, good. miso soup, ok. mandoo, worst i've had. shrimp were over cooked. pork, yummy. beef yummy.
why i won't be going back: the unknown man helping out was serving our food with open cuts on his hands, not fresh blood, but unsightly. secondly i found the place to be very dirty. the wood trays that hold the main dishes were very dirty and obviously don't get washed between tables. the chairs were greasy, i didn't want to touch anything. oddly enough, they passed a "health" inspection only 5 days prior to my visit. when walking back to our car, the kitchen door was open with a view in. that put the final nail in the coffin for me.
