for all the hype about this place. my two words “simply avoid”

you aren’t missing anything if not eating at kesar the dhaba. the food is hugely average with ghee lazing on top as it’s only usp. i am not sure that’s the clergy mark of 100 years old recipes in it except for just being fat loaded.

the very sight of the cooking and the ambience will make you loath it.

well if you still feel like grazing purely on the name of the hype then please go ahead. hope you stay well !

kesar da dhaba ., an iconic food place in amritsar, all the food is very good quality , the parathas , nan and the chole , paneer etc . the dal is you ask them tadkewale , expect it to have extra inches of ghee .. so be careful about that . the hype of the restaurant was quite a lot from all those who i had reached out to .. though i liked the food , i felt it to bit overrated .. might be they were having an average day ..

ordered kadhi pakora and see what the idiots have sent . and they write sinse 1916 inko 106 years mai kadhi aur dal ka farak hi pta nai chala.

order 2 sahai paneer 3 dall . 2 shahi panner don't available in order 1 will pay 500 rupes. its not good

amazing and must have experience when you travel to amritsar. very close to golden temple. serves only veg food but what an amazing veg food. loved every bit of it.
ordered dal, paneer and palak with chur chur lacha paratha and lassi & raita. the dishes and paratha were so rich in taste and butter.
an alert: please finish one parath and order for the next after finishing it only. the food is very heavy and rich so if you order thinking we will complete it, trust me you will be leaving a lot.
try to reach before 8pm as after this the waiting increases to 30 mins or more.

it is the best in town. if you are a non-vegetarian also do visit kesar da dhaba once. i am sure you will not regret.

an overrated place, with mad rush for i don't know what. weekends have a waiting time of over an hour, but what are people waiting for. the food was mediocre, paraanthaa was nothing special (the kulche wala next to our hotel made better for rs 40). rajma and bharta were like what i cook at home. even the amount of butter on the paratha is common in amritsar. don't waste your time at this place, else you will only be disappointed. oonchi dukaan feeka pakwan
