keke's breakfast café

i've been to keke's twice in the last week. upon my first visit, i was pleasantly surprised---above average food---fresh ingredients, although underseasoned (an herbal medley on the potatoes would be especially appetizing, i think). prices were a little high, but if it means fresh ingredients vs frozen or canned, i'm ok with that. myserverwas on the ball & excellent! i invited family to join me on my 2nd visit, and although our food was delicious, ourserverwas slow, forgetful, and awol when it came time for coffee refills (inexcusable for breakfast/brunch service!). also, i am critical of a restaurant that provides those jellies in those tacky plastic containers, and the honey, also in plastic, is doled out singularly when requested.

this is our second visit here. both times i felt the cost was a bit much. typical breakfast for 4 adults $55. theserverseemed to be rushing us to "turn the table". i've had better .

my daughter and i had breakfast before a soccer game. the food was very fresh and looked almost like a photo. we had oatmeal and fresh fruit. it was well worth the price. tania was ourserverand she was wonderful. she even offered my daughter a to go water and wished her luck in her game. we will definitely visit again while in the area.

we recently noticed a kiki's was being placed in the plaza across from the mall. so we decider to give it a try. the restaraunt was extremly busy and the building was rather small and short of staff to accomodate the people waiting to be seated. eventually,30 min later we were greeted by a pleasant host. the only issues we encountered was ourserverwas running around like a chicken with her head cut off and we felt pressured from her every time she came back to our table every 2-3 min asking if we were ready in placing our order. think she forgot the lists of foods to choose from the menu. we really didn't care. we just took our time anyways because we're the paying customer and we're the ones leaving her a tip. the only few complaints that we agreeed: 1.) how expensive it is was. guessing since kiki's breakfast is "gourmet" is for that reason. didnt realized that just bcus you add a little sprinkle and toppings on your meal with a slice of fruit and a piece of parsley that it was considered gourmet. the portion are pretty fair but theyre much better and larger if you order their pancakes, which is understandable. overall it was just breakfast and it tasted like breakfast --simply that. besides it being out of control busy and on the pricey end. but maybe that just because we're just used to denny's and our local mom n pop breakfast joint.

this place is great. we sat quick, ourserverwas great and the food is also great. we got the banana stuffed pancake and a fajita omlette. both were very good. we will come back
