unfortunately this is probably the worst meal i’ve ever had. we booked a table at 7.30 and didn’t receive our meals till 9.10. thefoodwas bland and watery did not resemble tibetanfoodat all. our momos were covered in a sweet chili sauce that honestly tasted as if it came straight from a jar- so overpriced for what it is. as well as this a waiter gavefoodto the wrong table who then picked at thefoodupon realizing it wasn’t what they ordered the waiter then went and handed the already eatenfoodto another family. honestly the most revolting thing i’ve witnessed in a restaurant. definitely not worth your time or money!!

found this little gem while scrolling through zomato and decided to give it a try based on it's high rating. was not disappointed at all. the dumplings were made really well, paired with the spiced sauce, it made the perfect entrée for us. the soup of the day - mushroom & lentil did not disappoint as well. for the mains we ordered the vegetable thakali, macha masala (fish), seafood pot and some rotis. the curries were hands-down made really well, with its earthy & rich flavours humming the moment it reaches your tastebuds. note that the dishes were served real hot (temperature) as well which is perfect for cold days. the fish dish was reallyyy good and tasted superb when eaten with roti. however, was pretty shock with the size of the dish and found thefoodpretty pricey. the rice we ordered was real fragrant so if you love rice you'll be satisfied here!

the ambience was pretty cool and homey. it had that nepalese feel to it. the service was not too bad as well. overall great dining experience and wouldn't mind coming over again & again if it weren't for us coming over for a vaca.

enjoyed immensely. what a wonderful restaurant, hidden gem, would highly recommend kathmandu cuisine as a must visit while in hobart.foodwas amazing. the entree kathmandu special was one of the most complex, delicious foods i have ever tried, sweet and savoury, entree and dessert in the one dish, must try. goat curry was exceptional. staff were wonderful, not in your face however there for all your needs. will definitely visit again when in hobart.

greatfoodand atmosphere. we tried the banquet menu to have a try at everything on the menu! and it was all very tasty :) i loved the decoration and the atmosphere too.

crap food. we booked in early that night arrived a little late and was hounded by the staff as to our 10 min group delay, we sat after that initial unfriendly greeting and it did not end there rgefoodwas crap abs we finished our dinner at magic curries

a gem of a restaurant. this is a perfect gem of a restaurant. we booked in because we were staying nearby and liked the look of the place. the staff were very warm and friendly and couldn't have been more attentive. the place itself is intimate and cosy but not at all cramped. thefoodwas supurb and the choices plentiful. we loved the goat curry and the serves were very generous. can't recommend it more highly. a perfect night out.

last night we visited kathmandu for the first time, thefoodwas excellent , the menu offered a wide variety of dishes and service good. we will certainly go back next time we are in hobart.

yummyfoodand great service!. the staff were very helpful and quick to accommodate my dairy intolerance and maintained great customer service throughout the night. wickedfoodtoo, went home very full and very happy!

had a wonderful meal! great service, lovelyfoodwith great flavours and well presented. had never had nepalese before and while similar to indian there are distinct differences when it hits the palate.

good addition to the hobartfoodscene. our party enjoyed three thali plates, seafood, goat and beef and the nepalese beef and potato curry.
we were unanimous in our liking of the goat curry with the potato curry following close behind.
service was attentive and authentic.
price very reasonable

diana. the service here was great, ultra attentive to our needs. thefoodalso was delicious, i had the veg platter or vegetarian thali, everything on it was faultless. especially enjoyed the aloo ghobi. also had a bowl of chilli on the side for my chilli hit (whim)

tasty food, less than average service. we visited kathmandu cuisine on a friday night at about 9pm and were promptly shown the last table in the restaurant. the scallop curry was great, as were the other vegetable dishes we ordered to go with it. what made this a less than great experience was the 40 minutes that we had to wait for thefoodto come.

loved thefoodhere, everything we ordered was tasty. very friendly staff too
