this cute all-day breakfast really is a hidden gem located in the village on the grange cafeteria. the tuna melt was enormous and messy and just what i needed. i was also especially impressed with just how fresh the vegetable and fruit selection was!

following the sl10k run, stella and i headed for brunch at karine’s (109 mccaul street #32), the place to go for healthy vegan and gluten-free meal options. this cute all-day breakfast really is a hidden gem located in the village on the grange cafeteria.

the staff here are incredibly sweet and friendly! the cashier congratulated my friend and myself on running the sl10k and recounted her lively story about having to find parking so far away due to the road closures with such infectious good spirit.pretty much starving, i ordered an option that had meat. this was so good~ the tuna melt was enormous and messy and just what i needed. i was also especially impressed with just how fresh the vegetable and fruit selection was! usually there are a few pieces of fruit for me that aren’t ripe/overripe, but everything was perfect. i usually find dragonfruit incredibly bland, but the dragonfruit i had here actually had a nice sweet and tangy flavour.

i also ordered tea – there’s a hot water container and you serve yourself with unlimited tea refills. there are also a nice variety of different teas to choose from!it also happened to be mother’s day, and karine’s was offering vegan and gluten-free cupcakes with a different edible flower ornamenting the top. i chose the one with orchid to take home in a container for my mommy. :) it was banana chocolate chip!

overall, i’m pretty swept up with the charm and great food of karine’s. the food is delicious, healthy, and very affordable. this place only accepts cash, so be mindful of that when coming for a visit. can’t wait for my next meal here!

omg! simply superb!! nestled in a rather lackluster food court, the lovely karine serves up amazing food with warmth and charm. i had a delightful bowl of garlicky, lemony, olive-oily, beany ful tonight, and may well go back for another tomorrow. in an instant karine's has joined my top ten favourite restaurants.

love karine's! we've had them cater a few of our team breakfasts at our office, and they always do an amazing job. maggie from the karine's team comes in and cooks omelettes, belgian waffles, serves hand-pressed orange juice... all with an infectious energy and smile. can't say enough good things about them!!

one of the best breakfast in town.. staff amazing and vert friendly.. homemade style .. we ordered 2 karine supreme with coffee and orange juice for 38$ not bad at all .. if you are around the grange area must check this place

loved! loved! loved! i really was interested in finding out why there was such a great line up at karine's! the breakfast/ brunch plates are really unique there and their menu really caters to everyones taste buds!

i love how karine's adds a lot of fresh fruit to their plates. i saw a couple of people order their fresh smoothies and it looked great! on my to try list next time that's for sure! i wanted to try everything on the menu so i chose a brunch plate that incorporated many items!😄i had their garlic fries and let me tell you it was the very first time i actually had fresh garlic over my fries! i love garlic so i thought it was to die for. their fries are warm and crispy. i also loved the home sausage. had such flavor and bite to them. everything is made fresh at karine's and i suppose that's why patrons are constantly returning. i also thought it was extremely cute they had a couple of tables around the store front with dressed with table cloths and a small vase with fresh flowers. it was the first time i saw a food court eatery with dressed tables and flowers! adorable!❤ a small detail but it shows the love of the place. karine herself is a delight! she was very sweet and made me right at home which is exceptional in a food court eatery!

i will definitely return back to karine's for some more yummy brunch! i highly recommend if you are in the area! heck, i would even go out of my way for their brunch food! 👍🍴☕🍳🍉🍞🍹

i didn't expect such good food from a food court! pancakes are great. scrambled tofu is delicious. everything pink on the menu is vegan. served with proper plates and cutlery, portions are huge, prices are reasonable. karine and her staff are friendly and amazing. overall this is a great place for vegan breakfast and i'm surely coming back.

amazing service. amazing food. i just had a simple breakfast which was really good. prices are good for what you get. it's kind of hard to find if you're not from the area but i went with someone who did so that was good lol. will definitely be coming back for more delicious breakfast.

the people that work here are so friendly! food was fast and cheap and you get a huge breakfast plate. the home fries were good and you get an enormous portion of bacon. i had the scrambled eggs and they were a bit dry but overall had a great experience

i've been to karine's twice (once a million years ago and again recently) the menu is a little overwhelming with all of the options as well as the tiny print and strewn about order of it all. i ordered the grilled cheese sandwich both times and it was honestly just not my taste. it was a double decker though so that was a plus but it just didn't have that buttery goodness i was looking for, a little dry. at $8 or so it seemed steep but it came with heaps of fresh fruit and you can tell they care about the quality. although what i ordered wasn't to my liking i have no doubt that karine's is a great spot and i'll be back to try other things off the menu in the future.

it's not your standard sit down restaurant as its located in the food court of the grange, but this place is absolutely fantastic especially if you're trying to stick to a gluten-free diet.

practically every sign says homemade and you certainly get that! i ordered the mushroom delight sandwich on gluten-free bread with a side of garlic fries. the food was prepared quite quickly and i completely devoured every bite. the sandwich was made up of tofu, grilled red pepper and zucchini and mushrooms with garlic, ginger and onions. the fries were just as tasty. instead of a creamy garlic sauce, they were simply seasoned with minced garlic.

their menu also features all day breakfast from monday through friday as well as gluten-free and vegan desserts, waffles and pancakes.

the prices are quite reasonable as well. can easily dine for $10 or less.

great vegan breakfast!. i ate here on the way to the ago. it's always a joy for a vegan to find a good breakfast, particularly a restaurant with more than one option -- vegans trying to eat breakfast out get stuck with sides (potatoes, fruit, toast) quite often but here there are lots of choices! i had the waffle with mixed berries, and the person i had breakfast with had parfait. i was very sceptical when i realized karine's is in a food court, but the food was very good -- it also helped that coffee came in mugs rather than take-away cups, that the cutlery was metal not plastic, and the food came on nice plates rather than plastic trays. breakfast was great and service was friendly; if i lived in the area i would very likely make this a once a week destination.

sunday brunch day. located conveniently inside the spacious food court of grange park, karine's brunch was surely a popular spot with long line ups. i got the vege omelette with garlic fries on the side. my friend got the all day breakfast with bacon and garlic fries. the valentine's day decor are up and thy are selling brownies and pink cookies!

daily pick me up. the service is so friendly, and the menu has great healthy and delicious options. this place has heart and you can feel food is made with love. the warm service is unique and special! this place has something for everybody
