my long black comes served in a black cup. the coffee smells nutty and fresh with a lingering note of summer. i have it with a splash of milk and some brown sugar. it’s actually really really good. i drink it slowly as i read… and while i do so the smell of warm spice and baking wafts through the air…

...mrs. lf swore it was the best mocha she ever had, and from my wee taste, i thought the balance between sweet and bitter was pretty amazing. i love this london coffee-house too – definitely one of my favorites, and the lunch fare is good too.

for melbournians looking for a taste of home or anyone after an excellent coffee sourced and made by people who appreciate what a good coffee is, this place will put a smile on your face. the good brekkie/brunch fare and friendly staff just add to the experience.

kaffeine is one of the newer artisanal cafés in central london, and as soon as you enter you realise that they are serious about espresso. first impressions if, like me, you believe free time was invented to spend in high quality coffee houses, you may

kaffeine is another antipodean owned coffee shop in the soho/fitzrovia region. an article appeared in the new york times on the weekend, making the bold claim that london is becoming an emerging "coffee town". for those of us who hail from real coffee tow

the coffee looked and tasted good - not sure where they source their beans, but the flavour was really good and it was nice for me to mix it up a bit

high sydney standards in the west end. if you've experienced sydney's best cafes, you will already know what it means to say the following. kaffeine has teleported the best of the essential sydney cafe experience to the west end.

the format is very simple: perfectly made flat whites (superior antipodean version of the latte), mind altering freshly made orange juice and superb sandwiches. lightly toasted and completely delicious focaccia (with sea salt and olive oil crust) sandwiches are served for lunch. kaffeine's breakfast sandwich is made with ciabattini, including poached egg, english bacon, spinach and tomato salsa. the ingredients are perfectly selected, prepared and combined meaning that the taste experience of sandwich eating is elevated to high caliber restaurant dining.

service has been cheerful and efficient each time i've visited and the interior is casual and understatedly classy. what's not to like?

the only comparable cafe heaven that i've found in london is the wonderful pantry in wandsworth. so now there are two very good reasons not to compromise your breakfast, brunch or lunch standards.

best caffe latte in london; worth the trip just for a cup. (drinking it i could believe i was back in florence, where the *airport* coffee is better than nearly anything in the coffee-loving usa. in my experience coffee in the tea-loving uk ranges from execrable to tolerable, which is why i can't stop raving about the coffee at kaffeine.) the food is also delicious (try the foccacia!) and worth a visit in its own right, especially if fresh and local are important to you. paul, the proprietor, is charming, helpful, and welcoming.
