three people warned us not to go back tokaai4 again because "dis nie meer dieselfde daar nie" (it's not the same there anymore).
they were right. year after year we go there because of the view and vibe and amazing roosterkoek.
they served us cold dry pita bread.
totally tasteless.
probably tried to cut costs and time.

our initial plan was to order these as starters but we didn't feel like wasting our money. we were talking to each other about how they downgraded their standards etc and the table next to us interrupted us and said they totally agree.

yussis. what a lekker vibe. we went earlier in the year when it was still warm and just enjoyed the rustic simplicity thatkaai4 braai brings. roostekoek to blow your sock off at a giveaway price and all this while being literally on the waters edge. i wouldnt go on a rainy day and don't expect it to be a restaurant so to speak. its more or a self service town style eatery. a unique experience to say the least.

we went tokaai4 braai fro lunch and i think we would have had a better experience if we had gone for diner. the decor is very basic and rustic. i always like being able to put my feet in the sand so it was nice that the whole restaurant was sandy and relaxed. we overlooked the ocean which was also fantastic. the self service restaurant has a very basic menu and the food was also very basic.

with the harbor on one side and a beautiful view of santos beach on the other,kaai4 braai really has a unique space and feel, one that reminds you of a beach bar somewhere in paradise.
the food is good, traditional south african cuisine, your drink list is limited to your standard bottled drinks so no cocktails unfortunately.
the service could be a lot better, we had issues with out food tickets as did someone else that same night.
overall a awesome place and definitely a place i would recommend going to!

i love mosselbaai, the place is so unpretentious, caravan and trailer park has all of the front row beach views, then this place for instance,kaaibraai, no waiters you order from the till, so chilled but great food and then some food including braaibroodjies from r20 so there are pensioners and students and holidayers all enjoying the beautiful scenes, delish braai style food and awesome vibes with coldplay and radiohead type music, too awesome!!! love it!! o and nice little place for kiddies to play, we will definitely be back!
