just falafs

i'm addicted. i've given it 5 stars because i have no criticism. i prefer just falafs to very good falafel, the food itself but also the service is friendlier at the former, and it's great that if it's busy you can just take your food to edinburgh gardens.

my favourite - well, the only one i've had so far - is the falafel plate with haloumi. so wholesome, vibrant and delicious.

i tried out food from here on uber eats and thought it tasted quite good so i though i would drop by for dinner the next night.

i came by just before 9pm on a sunday and was shooed away by staff saying they were 'closed'. this is despite the advertised opening times quite clearly stating a 9:30pm close.

if service means anything to you don't bother. this business seems to put more effort into building a slick website than meeting the needs of its customers. the 3 staff who were working at the time were all completely uninterested in serving me. you've now lost a potential repeat customer.

my go-to falafel joint (being a west sider) is little advi but i gotta say they’ve been shown up by just falafs. the felafels are moist and flavourful and the salads are fresh and form a most glorious meal when paired together. a dollop of babaganoush on top and the thought always crosses my mind that i could be vegan if i could eat this everyday.

the classic filaf was very good, our order was a pick up, very modern inside and busy
which is a great sign. the filaf pocket was yum, house made falafel and crunchy veggies what’s not to like.

not your traditional falafel shop as it is very modern. be prepared to pay a little extra but the falafels themselves are fresh and not dry.

this was an amazing plate of food, in both size and quality!
everything on the halloumi falafel plate was great - the hummus, the halloumi, the salad, the pickles, the sauce, and especially the falafel - just so soft, flavourful, and perfect.
highly, highly recommend.

halloumi falafel plate: 9/10

as a lover of middle eastern cuisine, and being vegetarian, it is no wonder i constantly have my ears pricked for recommendations of the best falafel in melbourne. a good falafel is not just about texture, it is about flavour and accompaniments as well. well, that had me. there is a reason why people flock here. at every time of the day and into the night. the menu is modern – this israeli

never realised how delicious falafels could be. ordered one of the plates on deliveroo. so much delicious salad and sauces inside. so filling couldn’t even finish. the pita bread was a bit dry, but was good to have with the plate.

really enjoyed the falafels, they were a decent size, reasonably priced, great texture inside and excellent flavour. the salad bar options were great except in their explanations, the staff failed to mention about the chilli in the cauliflower, which turned out to be far too spicy for me to eat, so that was a bit of a waste.

the broccoli salad was average, a little underseasoned and the broccoli was too firm and undercooked for me.

venue wise, it's quite small and crammed, no table service and the night i went, it was freezing inside as there was minimal heating and people coming and going out the front door the whole time. no bathrooms either, you have to go next door to the bar and use their very dirty and unkempt ones.

generous portions and reasonable price. falafels are crunchy on the outside and delicious. delivery is timely and your food always arrives hot. my only qualm is that the broccoli and salad seemed to be really salty.

my favourite place for pita stuffed with yummy veggie goodness and delicious falafels prepared upon order! a generous portion; i usually end up eating half of it and saving the other half for my next meal. also tried the fries for the first time and they were fragrant and each fry had just the right balance of a crisp outer layer and a soft, fluffy inner filling of potato. never disappoints! :)

the food here is incredible. the halloumi pita is my absolute favourite and it is huge - perfect for a late lunch. the staff are really friendly and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.

i hate giving bad reviews (sorry guys!) but the falafels were way too salty for us. we actually could not finish them. i only had two falafels and woke up during the night so dehydrated i needed some water. reading reviews, it worries me that some people don’t notice just how salty they are - i think this shows that a lot of people’s diets today contains huge amounts of salt. i would really encourage you to review your salt amount in your recipe - for the sake of people’s health!

got the haloumi pita for $13. start with the positives. the haloumi was tasty, and it filled me up. only had to wait less than 10 mins for my food. the falafs were plentiful.
the other side of this wasn't as great. haloumi came in two chunks. why not cut it up so you can enjoy throughout? falafs came in a huge chunk in the middle but wasn't broken up flavour wise and they tasted a bit heavy in flour. or maybe they just weren't as fresh as they could be. there was some hummus and cabbage but it needed more sauce throughout and more flavours to cut through, and i also had chilli with the dish but that barely tickled me. definitely better than your local dodgy kebab but it doesn't stand up to other local competition.
