chicken chops, fish tenders in white gravy, chicken poppers and steamed sharks fin are my favourites! very cheap food around dlsu, idk why pero hindi ako nagsasawa dito. what sucks here is it's always full during lunch time and dinner so you have to wait 15-20 minutes for steamed sharks fin. gawain pa naman namin ng friends ko 1 rice meal + 4pcs dimsum.

btw, this is not the only place which serves chicken poppers but compared to the others their seasoning taste the best and more chicken less breading or fat. and nagmahal na dimsum nila, very sad.

i used to live upstairs so when my roommates and i are sick, we get their soup noodles. they put so much soup and sometimes that's all you need.

i love this place! the food is really cheap but really good and addictive. my friends and i always have a hard time choosing a place to eat for lunch so most of the time we just go here. my usual orders are the soy chicken, siomai with rice, and wonton noodles. this is one of the best chinese fast food restaurants i've ever tried. 👌

overall, this is a great place to dine in at because everything is affordable, even the beverages. if you like dumpling+rice combinations, they have their own here. it's also cozy and they have 2 floors. headroom is tight up there but they have enough seats. during peak hours, they are seriously packed.

3-pc cheese ball noodle bowl has fairly good mami noodles and delicious, chewy cheese balls. essentially, the cheese would be at its best if it would literally melt out of the ball as you chew into it.

fried shrimp wonton is only available with rice if you opt for 6 pieces, and there will still be an additional expense to upgrade your regular rice to yang chow fried rice. it's delicious with soy sauce, calamansi, and chili. the coating is crunchy and the shrimp inside is very hot. overall, this meal tastes good but i find it a bit pricy.

matcha latte has a distinct flavor. i'm guessing it's in the milk. it's a pretty heavy drink and the matcha itself is pretty good. the facial expression found on top of the drink is fun to play with; i gave it a pinocchio nose!

thai milk tea did not look or taste like the real stuff; they got it right on my first visit but not on my last one.

after my viewing of my unit to a client in green residences, i decided to visit one of the most institutional condominium developments along the dlsu area....the egi plaza. they have a wide variety of restaurants for students that  even non students can enjoy  their budget meals. this lead me to ordering here their soy chicken chop with yang chow fried rice. it was comforting that this could be one of the venues maybe after a hard accounting exam or orals i would go and get myself a meal here. for around 150 bucks with drink, it was totally worth the visit here.

i've been eating here whenever i'm in school. their chicken peopperd never fail me. i'm not a big milktea fan, but their orea milktea is an exception for me. the space could be quite small, but the area is clean. the staff is average although accommodating, they call out for your orders in a repetitive and annoying way, but it could be funny at times. when you're tight in budget, this is a good place to have your meals

when you're a freshman with a budget, it's not a hard task to look for something other than fast food but even better. jus & jerry's has been my treasure trove for almost a year, and every time i visit, i always try something new. i tried almost everything—their wantons noodle soup, their sweet and sour pork, their buns, even their milk tea. there was never a time where i was never satisfied. aside from the fact their meals are cheap, they never dissapoint on the flavor. a personal favorite of mine? their wanton noodle bowls. i guarantee you, there will never be any other noodle bowl that'll be as cheap and delicately flavored as theirs. in addition to that, i do want to point out the fact that their place is not very big although there are two floors (not to mention the stairs that are very narrow), but then again who really cares about that since you're saving money and enjoying a really good meal?

my go-to place after class! their soy chicken and chicken chops are the best! it's generously glazed with their special soy garlic sauce and have big parts for their chicken! they also have chicken poppers which you can choose to flavor with cheese, bbq, sour cream, soy garlic, etc. you can eat it when walking to class! another favorite is their huge servings of noodles and shrimp wontons! it's also very affordable!! i'd definitely go back there for another hundred times! hahaha!

the soy garlic chicken is a must-try. i only go there for that. the chicken pieces are big and it just tastes great. they also have dimsum, noodles, and other menu items that are pretty average. they also have milktea that are too sweet.

this restaurant can only be found in taft, manila. i'm surprised that it still hasn't gained popularity like zark's wherein students from other schools just go there to eat. this is a favorite go-to place of dlsu students for its affordable and tasty food. imagine there are plenty of restaurants that closed down in their area, but it has stood the test of time and their menu are now on tv (they must be really raking in a lot of profits). also, what people don't know about this restaurant is that they serve and more delicious chicken than bon chon. this is really worth the money. you don't believe me? try it!

anyway, with plenty of food to choose from these are the food that i normally order:1) soy garlic chicken poppers meal with apple juice (php 99)2) shrimp wanton with fried rice3) shanghai rice4) shark's fin dumpling noodles with satay as soup

what is great here is that if you order a meal, you can choose to upgrade your drink to milk tea. whenever i upgrade to milk tea, i usually order their oreo milk tea. it's really a bestseller! you can also add fries on your meal.

as the place is small, expect that you'll feel cramped. and if you eat on a school day, it's filled with students. your order may also take a while, so just bring with you some patience.

by me-an
just reasonable food, travel & etc.

we did not have jus & jerry before. i hope we did because the food is great. le sigh. it's like a cheaper kind of bonchon. i like the chicken pops in soy garlic! it's an affordable student meal. i would have eaten there often. haha. service is kinda fast too. 👍🏻

i always wonder why this place hasn't ever been featured in the countless lists of must-try restaurants in taft. it's the one place my college friends and i always come back to, and their food's what we always crave for. your visit isn't complete if you don't try their chicken poppers in soy garlic sauce. these are breaded and fried chicken bites. the first time i tried i was in paradise. no exaggerations. for me, it's actually better than bon chon and also cheaper! the serving is also generous that sometimes you might need one more rice to finish it. they weren't kidding when they said it's addicting.

also try their siomai and sharksfin dumplings, plus their milk tea. it's pretty good and cheap. the best milk tea i have ever tried in my entire life can be found here and it's their oreo milk tea mousse with pearls. it's only less than a hundred too!!

my only problem here is their space because it's always full. of students. it's steps away from dlsu! it's very noisy everyday during lunch and dinner time. if possible, i really hope they expand and also branch out (makati please!!!) i swear everyone will like their food and it's still gonna be a hit if they open another branch.

insider tip: if you're with a friend but on a budget, get the chicken poppers with rice, order extra rice, and order their wanton noodles. that's only around 200 pesos only for two. busog na, masarap na, tipid pa!

good student friendly meals but nothing really special. their oreo milk tea is a must try, though! service is bad, as their personnel are moody. this goes both in-house and when taking a call.

i like the way they serve their customers because they listen to our requests such as when we asked them to open the closed area on the second floor. the foods are very delicious even though the waiting time takes so long.

my sister's go to food stop when in school is jus n' jerry's. a stone's throw away from dlsu, the restaurant is almost always filled with students, even when the two storey resto is a little tight on space. i was initially skeptical when my sister told me the soy garlic chicken/fish here is better than the one in bonchon, but as it turns out, she was right.

i highly recommend the soy garlic fish fillet. i've eaten this dish thrice, and it's always consistent.

what we've tried:

soy garlic fish fillet - waaay better than bonchon's, with bigger serving too! my sister always orders this with extra rice. the fish are breaded and fried until crispy and tender, and the sauce is the right mix of sweet, salty and tangy.

chicken poppers in cheese - again, you get great value for money, this serving has a lot of chicken poppers, and surprisingly not a lot of breading, giving you more chicken in every bite.

chicken pao - this was a disappointment because when we ordered, they also ran out of lettuce, and it was literally a piece of chicken fillet in a bun, sandwiched in a lot of mayo.

prawn dumplings - each piece was big, and fried well, not bad for its price.

i might go and try their noodles next time, i see it on other tables and the bowl looks huge and filling. i hear the drinks are really good as well.
