as long as i've been traveling to san antonio, i've never been to jim's. i normally play it safe with denny's or ihop. after my visit to jim's tonight, i don't see any reason to go to either of those places if i'm in san antonio. my go to dish at denny's is eggs over my hammy. so, i tried the cowboy breakfast sandwich for comparison. this was a solid choice, although i will remember to add cheese next time. i also had a side of biscuits and gravy that was tasty. nothing fancy here, just diner food. but, it hit the spot and i will return.

if you are looking for good basic american food, this is a great place.
the food is inexpensive and food, and the portions are huge. great wait staff as well. we had a large booth and were able to visit quite well with family as the restaurant is quiet.

fast, friendly service and food that tastes like diner food should. we had the chicken-fried steak, eggs, hash browns and biscuits. all delicious. i want to go back for a burger.

ok this sounds kinda of wacky as i have never heard of jim's before but they are all over san antonio...and they have really good breakfast....and lunch....will make this a stop ever time in san antonio...

we went here for breakfast and the food was very good. the only thing i wasn’t impressed with was the chocolate milk. it seemed to be skim milk so if you drink that then it’s all good! the price was less than some other popular breakfast places

best diner in town!. i've visited this location on many occasions, and i must say that this is the best jim's i have eaten at in san antonio. the restaurant is kept in its 1970s diner style, and the service and comfort food are top notch! the servers are all friendly and keep the drink refills flowing...whether it be piping hot coffee or ice cold beverages...they just keep it coming. i have tried several of their breakfast platters, lunch specials, and dinners, and i have never been disappointed. you can't go wrong with a freshly made breakfast or their legendary tortilla soup (best i've had in town). i highly recommend stopping in anytime (as they are open 24 hours).

first off let me start by saying alice our waitress is one of the best servers i have ever had. now to food... had the chicken'n biscuit special. very good great white gravy very filling. all in all good meal but alice made the experience the best.
