great atmosphere and decent food. a reliable lean bar for a proper pint of guinness and some fun conversations, jack quinn's is an institution in this town. the old world wood panelled walls and nooks, along with the competent barkeeps, make this place a must visit for both regulars and visitors. the food is excellent, with tasty options like the homemade chips and irish nachos, the richly prepared shepherd's pie, good fish and chips, decent corned beef and cabbage, and a right generous irish breakfast, replete with bangers, mushrooms, blood sausage and fried tomato. i most recently tried their curried lamb and onions with rice. it's was mild, very tasty, but perhaps a bit one dimensional. maybe if they added cauliflower or a bit more vegetables for a crunchier texture it would be better. that said, the lamb itself was very tender and the curry was evenly balanced. they have live music on occasion, and are typically jammed full on friday and saturday night. it is a wonderful irish pub.
