italianni's

for a high-end restaurant that strongly claims to serve authentic italian dishes, their food was rather forgettable. their presence in the philippine dining scene all throughout this years could be somewhat questionable due to their lack of any popular dishes, moreover, popularity itself. the rather luxurious price they charge for their otherwise flat dishes, is a point of concern. i could have a better, much more filling pizza-pasta dining experience at way much cheaper, accessible places. last october 7, i ordered delivery from this italianni's branch. i paid for extra chicken in my sicilian salad, but when i received my delivery, there was no extra chicken. it was just a hundred pesos but i was really looking forward to the chicken! i informed them of my missing order, received a call late that night but they couldn't find my order entry. i was told i will be called the next morning but i did not receive any call. good food, bad service.

sicilian salad and shrimp aglio are great combination.
nice ambience and great interiors.look for rufa for the best service. i like their bread.

for less than p800.00 i enjoyed a platter of roasted chicken ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5, braised beef ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5, aglio olio spaghetti ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 and complimentary bread with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and parmesan cheese ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 plus a green tea latte ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 at the end of my meal at @italiannisph #italiannisph restaurant.

i have a bistro card. i frequent italiannis, friday's, modern shanghai, watami their food and service is consistently good.

so when tony made reservations for us at 7:30pm december 16, we went to italiannis robinsons manila. lo and behold, they didn't have any table ready for us.

so we left. that was one of the worst customer service we had ever had!

definitely a fan of anything with truffle making the potato truffle fries a winner! 👍 shrimp penne pasta was a little bland though, added bit of salt and pepper pa to enjoy it.

while waiting for our lunch, complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip were served to us. the bread is just as good the way i remember it from four years ago. it has a very crunchy crust yet it’s very moist inside.

i decided to have baked ziti. the penne pasta was cooked al dente, just the way i like it. i could taste the distinct flavors of the italian sausage. though i like pasta dishes with ground beef, the smoky flavor of sausages takes anything a notch higher. the baked ziti of italianni’s is perfectly seasoned. i loved how the melted mozzarella cheese sticks to the pasta. the combination of parmesan and mozzarella cheese fueled up all my senses.

the grilled pork chop is served with vegetables, black peppercorn sauce, fried spinach and garlic rice. as juice flows out of the meat, i knew at that moment that this pork chop is different. i also loved the peppery flavor of both the pork chop and the sauce. the garlic rice isn’t oily which is an added point for us. even the vegetables were perfect!

it has the taste of real italian food! quite delicious and tasteful! their spinach artichoke is really good, so is their spaghetti and meatballs matched with their very refreshing lemonade twists . service is fast and all the food servers are attentive. this place in ermita is worth visiting again.

no welcome greeting, zero warmth, extremely slow service though there were only a few diners at that time. only reason i'm giving this a 2 is the food, which is consistently good but so far this is worst italianni's branch i've been to.

my dad loves this place. the food is great but i'm perpetually distracted by the amount of hookers in the area whenever we eat at this branch, haha.

sicilian salad & truffle chicken and mushroom are the best for me. i can eat it over and over again since their serving is good enough for sharing. price is just okay based on the quality of food and serving they have. though the place is a bit hot when we dine here. staff are nice and accommodating.

i love italian food to bits and italianni's is one of my favorite pizza and pasta joints when i am in manila. i love the pizza crust because it is savory and chewy and it perfectly complements the type of red sauce and cheeses that go with it. the pasta is also very good. i love the carbonara to bits.

i am a pasta lover and so i tried italianni's midtown lasagna and spaghetti meatballs :) then i ordered sicilian for my salad.  and to my surprise the spaghetti meatballs is truly a wow!  i really appreciate the meaty taste of italianni's pasta. i also tried their strawberry cheesecake for my dessert and oh god its heaven! i will recommend this restaurant to my friends :) oops! one more thing, the employees there are very nice and accommodating! good job! #reasonableprice

service is slow in this branch and the interiors aren't as neat as the other branches.

in my opinion, italianni's, in general, is overrated and overpriced. food is pretty decent, but it definitely doesn't live up to its price. an italian visiting the philippines once told me, "italianni's is horrible! so expensive, but they can't even make good spaghetti. i can make spaghetti in my sleep! and cheaper too!"

favorite italian place. for starters, a basket of focaccia and tuscan bread with infused evoo, balsamic vinegar and freshly grated parmesan cheese becomes a staple. order some antipasto, fried calamari is the best with the marinara sauce. then order some caesar salad for a lighter start. have some spaghetti a la mariniere or spaghetti and meatballs, quattro formaggio or pizza enorme, chicken parmegiana... finish is with a serving of creme brulee... definitely a good way to celebrate with family at italianni's ermita! 😍
