mother's day dinner. we had reservations for 6:30 since the kids were dinning with us and is was a sunday night. they were running a bit behind and unable to seat us immediately, but compensated us with homemade gnocci with a lamb bolognese which was heavenly. the staff were very friendly and helpful and really seemed to enjoy the kids, not merely tolerate them. the evening felt very relaxed, the ambience warm and inviting, the valpolicella sublime. the pastas were excellent and the portions robust, overall a very pleasant evening! thanks!

fantastic food, friendly service. all of us were sharing off of each others plates and everything was delicious. i wish that i had saved enough room for dessert though!

a friend took me to iorio's for a birthday dinner and made a reservation for 5:30pm.  as usual, i-5 was jammed up.... but worse than usual.  after a brief wait my friend was seated.
who knew i was going to be over an hour late?  but it was i-5 rush hour.  i kept giving her update on traffic and she kept relating those to her server.  by the time i arrived i was over one hour late....and her amazing server didn't bat an eye even though their were others waiting for tables.  he was most gracious.
now i must say that the meal was extraordinary!  and i'm very particular with the quality of what i eat.  we shared the eggplant parmesan and the risotto after sharing a salad - i think it was the one with walnuts.  i am an aficionado on eggplant parmesan and i have never tasted better!  the risotto was new to me and i loved it!  i can't wait to return for a repeat performance.
if you go.....please don't tell many others about this wonderful restaurant or we won't be able to get in.  :}

went for dinner with family on father's day. the food and service were wonderful, everyone in our party cleaned our plates. i had one of the specials, grilled steelhead over asparagus risotto, didn't offer to share. everyone kept trying to eat my wife's grilled chicken with lemon, very moist and flavorful. the desserts were great, even the coffee was very good. the owner/chef, chris, stopped at our table to see if we enjoyed our dinner, and took the time to explain how to make moist chicken, and where my fish came from and how it was caught. we will definitely be going back, not only for the food, but also for the cooking classes.

this place was delightful! my boyfriend and i went to iorio after looking up some places with gluten free options (for myself) that were in the portland area. we ordered the caesar salad, focaccia bread, and a gf and normal fresine pasta. waitress was super friend and accommodating, food came out in a timely manner, and the atmosphere was extremely relaxed and friendly. i've never had fresh gf pasta before and the sauce was out of this world delicious! would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants fresh, decently priced italian food!

mom, and i work for portland christian schools.. a wonderful friend of mine and i went to iorio for dinner. we were very spoiled by our waitress. we felt so taken care of! our food was absolutely wonderful! we truly felt so taken care of through our whole dining experience. i would love to have a great 2014 calendar to show me what i can expect in the future with iorio. it seems to me that i can only bring up a lot of 2013 posts. i don't see any price changes or new food that is added to your web-page. i give several parties per year, and i would love to use your catering for these. i absolutely love your food!

my husband stuck to his plan and he ordered the pork dish, just like we had planned. again, it was off the charts amazing. he had the braised pork with polenta. i wasn’t expecting the solid polenta in strips (it looks like fries in the pictures) but it was perfect. the pork and the sauce was easily soaked up by this polenta. so far we are 2 for 2 on the seasonal pork dishes.

our food finally arrives and let me tell you….half orders are the size of full orders. i had more pasta than i could handle for sure. the pork dish with the madeira sauce was absolutely perfect. it was served or polenta, not just any polenta, crispy polenta wedges that is, which i prefer.

oh man. the carmelized onion/butternut squash ravioli with pesto was incredible. it was rich, but didn't feel too heavy. and the peach italian soda blew my mind. it was like liquid candy. i had a dream about that meal this morning, so i'm taking that as a sign to go back there.

how great it is to be gluten free. how great a gluten free place for me!
my husband and i came here by chance and it was pretty busy which is always a good sign. we were exccited there seemed to be a good buzz about the tables and the warmth of the room itself. our waitress came over and told us thier specials and explained that he could tweak entrees or other dishes to be gluten free. i love this because she really seemed excited to have us rather than be bothered like other places in the recent past. i had the calamari which was amazing best by far that i can remember. my husband ordered the pork for an entree and i chose the gluten free pasta with the lamb ragu. this is by far some of the best pasta that i can remember since i have been celiac in 8 years now. thank you for taking such great care and making me feel special rather than the outcast that has made a silly dietary choice by trend.

food was just so so. caesar salad almost tasteless. beyond missing something. my husband had meatballs and supposed fresh made pasta. sauce was strange, almost sweet. even my two year old who eats everything walked away from it. great atmosphere but food was beyond disappointing.

great italian, great feng shui. a nice, comfortable environment for some excellent italian dishes.

our waiter was personable, informative, and attentive for the entire evening. the courses came out at a brisk but unhurried pace, arriving as we were ready for them. the calamari is excellent, the best we've had in/around portland, and we've tried quite a few.

we had a nice house cocktail each and found a very good sangiovese on the short but well considered wine list, at a reasonable restaurant price instead of twice retail.

the ravioli was tender, flavorful and well matched to its sauce. my fish special was tender, succulent and well matched to the accompanying vegetables. my wife had the pulled pork with polenta and it was spectacular, and generally i see polenta as an evil force in the world.

hand rolled cannoli for my wife, and a marvelous concoction of gelato, hazelnut liqueur and espresso for me.

we were seated promptly, right on time, and were not hurried along by the staff. a really perfect night on the town.

calamari. the calamari was so crispy and delicious, the sauces were also a perfect compliment. the gluten-free options here were plentiful, always a plus these days. the entrees were good also, but the appetizers and dessert just couldn't have ben better. we had some sort of delightful chocolate cake with vanilla gelato. will definitely be returning soon!
