going by the reviews of this place is what me got me here and to be honest, i was utterly and absolutely disappointed.

one thing it was raining so we sat out, which was a disaster.

we ordered the chef special kabab basket which had a variety of kababs ( bone and boneless) and it was not that great at all. the garlic was not subtle in taste and kept interrupting our taste.

butter naan was not too hot and the aloo gobi was below par.

only good thing on which i survived was the papad they gave with the chutney along with these little roti pieces with 3 different curries (moong daal,butterchicken and one more item)

i might have been in this restaurant on their off day, but i was disappointed.

i have always loved eating their combo options. you get to taste much of their curries and biryani. would recommend their dal, bbq, biryani and all the other curriesmay it be vegetarian or not. i don't like the taste ofbutterchicken. may be its just me as it was to cfeamy flavored for me...

a perfect case of never judge a book by its cover !!! going by the pics and menu and pricing is a sure way to judge this place from the get go but be ready to be left stunned !!! on a budget trip to al ain we dropped into this restaurant and even double checked the menu to see if the pricing was right (as that was top priority). we were left stunned with the fine dining ambience and the sheer quality of the food. contemporary indian food but definitely and easily the best tasting indian food in the uae i’ve had !! kudos to the restaurant and it’s management and team. thebutterchicken was creamy and just the right amount. the mutton rogan gosht too was superb with the meat being succulent juicy and tender. very well cooked! the chicken dum biriyani was great and you could feel the freshness of the rice marinated in the spices. a nice touch was the trio of dal makhani,butterchicken gravy and chicken curry gravy with shredded paratha as a complimentary starter. the kunafa too was fantastic and surprisingly so especially since it’s indian cuisine they specialise in but nevertheless an unforgettable experience! will definitely come back here again and make the drive from dubai as it’s well worth it ! the staff too were courteous, friendly and very helpful!!!

the restaurant i had visited yesterday with my brother and friend, as this is my second visit to this restaurant, first time i did not had good experience, after 6 months back this visit i realized they have improved a lot. most of the crowd is local people as the name of the restaurant ( indian curry). after searching a lot we finally ended up with this restaurant .
we order kadai paneer,butternaan, and biryani. they served the food with papad and three type of gravi to taste and the small roti. that's really impressive for us. based on that we can select the main- course.
kadai paneer- really good and make fresh
butter naan- this is the first time i had such a testy naan in uae and the size of the naan was too big, enough for one person.
briyani- was ok,

the price of the food quite expensive, however, worth to go once a month.
especially the location of the restaurant was amazing.

my second visit to this restaurant and credit to theirbutterchicken that made me revisit them.

the ambiance is good and service is quick. however, the server who attended us lacked knowledge of the dishes on menu. so he was of little help. as complemetary starters they provide papad and 3 small bowls of curries with little pieces of bread. that's unique and nice. i enjoyed this more than the main course.

butter chicken (3/5) was nice but not up to the mark like i had it the first time.

chicken tikka biryani (1/5). this is how exactly it was possibly prepared. a few pieces of tikka, curry, white rice and some nuts all mixed together put on the clay pot and covered with dough and heated. that didn't look and neither tasted like biryani.

excellent food. especially thebutterchicken. rotis are big. tandoori was not that good. tasted old. the three things they give in the entree is extremely tasty. that fills you up.

i went on a saturday afternoon for lunch. the food took very long to arrive maybe due to the fact that the restaurant was fully packed on a weekend afternoon.
i really like how every seat is for private dining. loved the privacy. the restaurant was full by 2 pm. the mango lassi was delicious & chicken thai tikka was spicy & delicious.
the naans were soft & good too. thebutterchicken was too sweet. the ambiance is nice. the bill for 2 persons became 108 dhs. would definitely go back here to try something else.

the appearance,the ambiance,the lighting,the service,the pricing,the cushion,the parking space provided, is all great.
but,the food isn't.

we orderedbutternaan and tikka basket which they claimed was their special.and chicken achari on their recommendation.sadly none upto the mark.they need to urgently change their chef.
chicken tikka is tasty though.

it's a nice restaurant in a remote area in alain the food quality is medium not the best and not bad either, ambience is good especially the outside tables in winter. the prices are good and the portions are enough. i saw ppl writing that this restaurant has a very goodbutterchicken but i would say it's disappointing not the bestbutterchicken in town many other places are far better.

المطعم لا باس فيه من ناحية جودة الاكل المقدم من قبلهم، لاحظت في تقييمات الآخرين أن الدجاج بالزبدة أفضل ما يقدمه هذا المطعم لكن من وجهة نظري ان هذا الطبق لديهم سيء ويوجد العديد من المطاعم الأخرى في مدينة العين تقدم ما هو أفضل بكثير من هذا المطعم، ولكن مقارنة بالأسعار نستطيع القول بأنه معقول، البيئة الداخلية فالمطعم جيدة وتحتوي على أماكن مخصصة للعائلات..

بشكل عام المطعم لا بأس به ولكن إذا كنت تبحث عن دجاج بالزبدة مميز لن يكون هذا المطعم الخيار المناسب لك.

أعطيت هذا المطعم تقييم 3 فقط لأن الأسعار جيدة مقارنة بغيره من المطاعم في ظل وجود طعام ذو جودة متوسطة.

one of my colleagues happened to recommend this place saying that it was close to where my site was and that the food was good.

i tried the place today. the following were my observations;

the location is secluded which sort of gives you the feeling that your google maps malfunctioned.

omce you're there, the setting is quite pleasant. very different from what you generally see. a lot of emphasis on customer privacy apparently!

the staff is prompt and quite active.

coming to the food... i ordered forbutterchicken, naan and mango lassi.

thebutterchicken is probably one of their specialities (assuming this from the small sample platter that they provide) and hence the taste is also quite yum.

the naan is a total disaster. how difficult is it to cook an authentic naan in this country?!! normally i find restaurants serving tandoori rotis dunbed as naans. here they went one step ahead and created an enormous malabar paratha!!..

the mango lassi was quite good.

all foods are decently priced but this is not your daily lunch restaurant unless you earn a handsome amount.

overall i think the place does a good job... if i go picking the faults this space may not be sufficient.

i might visit again but i'm definitely not ordering naan!

the venue of this restuarant is probably what like most. indoor and outdoor seating areas are available, the family booths/room gives you a nice private seating area. the menu options are very extensive.

on weekends they have a bbq station, the bbq prawns are delightful. food is consistent.

firm favourites are the variety of naan,butterchicken , prawn and fish dishes.

a very nice indian restaurant we discovered in al ain. spacious with the option of dining outside as well. the staff were very friendly and immediately explained the specials for the evening. we had the chicken tikka, the mutton seekh kebab, chicken tikka masala, and mutton korma withbutterand garlic naans. good portions and very tasty. keep up the good work!

excellent ambience and excellent food wirh a friendly staff really makes you feel special. i have been here a pup me of days back and today drove from dubai for dinner.

thebutterchicken with khazana grillbutternaan with a mango lassi is the best. finally have kunafa with an ice cream. surely a recommended restaurant next time you are in alain.

wanted to have indian food and that is how i landed in indian curry! 

been here twice! 

the first time we hadbutterchicken and chicken biryani...the food was really good! 

hence, the second time but was left completely disappointed.

we ordered: 

chef special kebab basket - uncooked mutton, not well marinated chicken pieces. the masala (spices) for some of the pieces had a bitter taste to it. well presented in the basket made from potato.  

chicken achari - do not order this dish. 

the service was average. my ratings are just because of my first visit.

the prices are on the higher side for that quality of food. definitely not my go to indian restaurant.

love the taste.. good prices.
they just need to add more hot drinks just as karak and turkish coffee or arabic coffee.
but the most delicious plates they have are chickenbutterand beryani. there nan bread withbutteris the best in town.
