indian curry restaurant

a perfect case of never judge a book by its cover !!! going by the pics and menu and pricing is a sure way to judge this place from the get go but be ready to be left stunned !!! on a budget trip to al ain we dropped into this restaurant and even double checked the menu to see if the pricing was right (as that was top priority). we were left stunned with the fine dining ambience and the sheer quality of the food. contemporary indian food but definitely and easily the best tasting indian food in the uae i’ve had !! kudos to the restaurant and it’s management and team. the butter chicken was creamy and just the right amount. the mutton rogan gosht too was superb with the meat being succulent juicy and tender. very well cooked! the chicken dum biriyani was great and you could feel the freshness of the rice marinated in the spices. a nice touch was the trio of dal makhani, butter chicken gravy and chicken curry gravy with shredded paratha as a complimentary starter. the kunafa too was fantastic and surprisingly so especially since it’s indian cuisine they specialise in but nevertheless an unforgettable experience! will definitely come back here again and make the drive from dubai as it’s well worth it ! the staff too were courteous, friendly and very helpful!!!

the restaurant i had visited yesterday with my brother and friend, as this is my second visit to this restaurant, first time i did not had good experience, after 6 months back this visit i realized they have improved a lot. most of the crowd is local people as the name of the restaurant ( indian curry). after searching a lot we finally ended up with this restaurant .
we order kadai paneer, butter naan, and biryani. they served the food with papad and three type of gravi to taste and the small roti. that's really impressive for us. based on that we can select the main- course.
kadai paneer- really good and make fresh
butter naan- this is the first time i had such a testy naan in uae and the size of the naan was too big, enough for one person.
briyani- was ok,

the price of the food quite expensive, however, worth to go once a month.
especially the location of the restaurant was amazing.

my second visit to this restaurant and credit to their butter chicken that made me revisit them.

the ambiance is good and service is quick. however, the server who attended us lacked knowledge of the dishes on menu. so he was of little help. as complemetary starters they provide papad and 3 small bowls of curries with little pieces of bread. that's unique and nice. i enjoyed this more than the main course.

butter chicken (3/5) was nice but not up to the mark like i had it the first time.

chicken tikka biryani (1/5). this is how exactly it was possibly prepared. a few pieces of tikka, curry, white rice and some nuts all mixed together put on the clay pot and covered with dough and heated. that didn't look and neither tasted like biryani.

in a city where there aren't many places to go have indian food, this place is a delight. the food actually tastes good, the staff is very friendly and the ambiance isn't bad either. 
ordered a couple of things and they all tasted actually good. 
the only bad thing is that it's a little dark if you sit inside.

location is perfect next to a beautiful green garden. ambience of the restroom is great , fast service polite staff ... however the food taste is not too great .

a nice restaurant with good eating and sitting options. this restaurant is in park with next to children play area. ideal for people visiting jabal hafeeth

excellent food. especially the butter chicken. rotis are big. tandoori was not that good. tasted old. the three things they give in the entree is extremely tasty. that fills you up.

issued a bill with wrong date, no trn no and vat charged.

and chose this restaurant for dinner after seeing@ zomato review.
food was good the response from staff is very good. but please check your bill while leaving counter.

awesome daal makhni and garlic naan.
paneer tikka was good but the chef must remove the burnt part of paneer and bell peppers.
mix veg wasn't that great. all frozen vegetables tossed in some curry.

staff outdoor to focus on customers than watching big screen. we had to wait to someone look at us for some more breads etc.

have been here once in the past.
located within a small promenade/walkway. ambiance is great!! mainly seating areas for families and smaller groups. great interiors.
food is good. above average. takes a long time to get your order on the table.

i went on a saturday afternoon for lunch. the food took very long to arrive maybe due to the fact that the restaurant was fully packed on a weekend afternoon.
i really like how every seat is for private dining. loved the privacy. the restaurant was full by 2 pm. the mango lassi was delicious & chicken thai tikka was spicy & delicious.
the naans were soft & good too. the butter chicken was too sweet. the ambiance is nice. the bill for 2 persons became 108 dhs. would definitely go back here to try something else.

believe it or not that this indian restaurant make one of the yummiest pastas out there, they’re a bit fatty but tastes so good. i love their potato wedges with their special cheese sauce it’s soooo delicious. never and ever think about eating fish there, my mom got poisoned because of their fish biryani. but in general the place is great for a family dining out.

pasta is good. indian food is good. overall average food quality. try the potatoes with their special cheese sauce. potatoe wedges, to be specific.

located at a beautiful and calm place. you could dine in the restaurant and take a leisurely walk in the date park. mixed seafood tandoori platter and chicken tikka biriyani is high up in the pecking order for me. my first choice, in al ain that is, if i am craving for north indian cuisine.

the appearance,the ambiance,the lighting,the service,the pricing,the cushion,the parking space provided, is all great.
but,the food isn't.

we ordered butter naan and tikka basket which they claimed was their special.and chicken achari on their recommendation.sadly none upto the mark.they need to urgently change their chef.
chicken tikka is tasty though.
