great food, good service, greatview. the sand crab lasagne is a winner, although i must advise you to order the entree size portion for your main course because it is very rich!

one of the best italian restaurants in brissy.

it has it all:greatfood, good service and last but not least, the ambience, being right by the river.

and they have a dish you will not find anywhere else in the world: lasagna.

hold on; lasagna you say? this is no ordinary lasagna, it's a sandcrab lasagna...with the most succulent sauce.

i've even had a friend fly halfway across the world, across the pacific, from nyc to try this signature dish of theirs!
and this was the first fine dining place in town i took my missus to when she visited from interstate.
did i mention, they do a delectable tiramisu...

solid 4.5
this place is amazing. i recently went to il centro for a working dinner. having worked all day none of us had thought to make a booking anywhere considering it was a tuesday night. luckily thegreatstaff at il centro managed to squeeze us in to their fully booked restaurant.
we decided to choose many different dishes to share which was such agreatidea. we managed to try a wide range of their delicious options. the crab lasagne is to die for and i couldn’t recommend this dish anymore. a solid 4.5 for this place. they just loose out on that extra 0.5 due to beer selection. not everyone is a fan of craft beers. what happened to good old mainstream aussie selections?

otherwise all in all agreatnight! 👌

sand crab and avocado salad starter and sand crab lasagne. the two menu options that never disappoint, except portion sizes sometimes range a bit.greatviews near the front of the restaurant. many a good celebration here.

excellent food, exciting menu, greatservice and clean and modern setting. on the pricey side of dining experiences, but worthwhile for an occasion. food was served promptly.

probably the only couple of minor things i can think to critique would be: the size of the table allocated to our dining party of 6. it was probably better suited to 4 people. no one had any elbow room and it wasn't like the place struggles for space. and secondly, one of the waiters was a little frustrating to deal with, as his english was very poor, so orders had to be repeated 3-4 times before they were properly comprehended.

this restaurant certainly hasgreatatmosphere and the view of the riverside is quite spectacular. service is good too with friendly and efficient staffs. however despite that we were quite let down by the food. the duck course was tasty and well balanced but the rest of our crab meals were rich and lack diversity in flavour and one of them was probably overly salty. perhaps we did not pick the right menu choice, but for what we got that night, 2.5 stars based on the price to quality ratio.

went their for anniversary.greatlocation. staff were professional and courteous menu is simple and far easier to read than the encyclopaedic wine list. wines are typically twice what you pay for at a hotel so just accept that and move on. entree was the classic sand crab lasagna. sadly it was not what i remembered the flavour was there but the texture was rubbery. anyway mains were the special crispy skin snapper on squid ink risotto. i thought it quite good. my partner had the duck breast which was ok although a little tough didn't have desert but the restaurant brought out a happy anniversary plate with a selection of little chocolates that was a nice touch. total was $250. the wine was $100 although that's not an expensive bottle for this place. overall it's still agreatplace for a special occasion but for value for money i think there are better options

celebrated a birthday in the private dining room here. the service was great, the mixed seafood starter was fresh and cooked perfectly. i had snapper for the main and it was incredible. i was very impressed with the wine list - somegreatbottles at very reasonable prices.

had a memorable dining experience here last friday night. the staff were both attentive and accommodating and the atmosphere wasgreatwith a lovely view. we ordered the calamari as an entree, which wasn't as tender as i would've hoped but tasty nonetheless. our mains consisted of the crispy skin...

i have been coming to this restaurant on and off for over 15 years. i have only ever had superb food andgreatservice. it has to be one of brisbane's best restaurants. reviewers get all excited about the latest and trendiest but i would not hesitate to recommend thisgreatrestaurant. my wife and i dined last monday night for the first time in a while and enjoyed, as always, the famous sand crab lasagne and my tortellini special was generous and of the highest quality. our man on the floor, a young south american gent was extremely professional and attentive with good wine suggestions. the view of the river and story bridge are a nice back drop. if you want to treat yourself, il centro will not let you down.

haven't been here for a while but hasn't lost any of its appeal.greatselection of traditional italian dishes mixed with some queensland touches. the bbq octopus with celeriac purée was a top starter - the octopus was cooked beautifully. this was followed by the gnocchi with scallops and wild mushrooms which was earthy and delicious. dessert was the semifreddo with figs and marscapone which was excellent. service a little slow for a wednesday night but can't complain too much. good choice of you want hearty italian food with agreatsetting right on the brisbane river.

went to il centro for the first time while visiting brisbane, and was recommended i try the sand crab lasagne - it is famous for a reason. absolutely beautiful dish and paired it with the pear and rocket salad. had a gorgeous wine italian white with it - they have a fantastic italian selection which isgreatto see. the service was excellent, the staff were all knowledgable and the owner zahir made rounds to every table to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves.
i will definitely be back!!

visited here for business lunch recently, after some time.  decided to go for something different than my favourite sandcrab lasagne.  service was outstanding; meals were good, but not asgreatas the lasagne.  would love to see some improvements on atmosphere to create a stronger sense of privacy - this would be valuable for both business diners, couples and groups.  atmosphere is currently a tad too 'sterile' i think.
