good chowder, ok fried seafood. had the clam strips dinner - tender large strips, not like the tiny scrawny stuff you find in the midwest. the clams themselves were quite tasty. unfortunately, the batter on them needed a bit more crunch, and a bit more flavor, or at least salt. fries were pretty good. son's fish was similar -goodbig slab of fish, crisp batter coating, but to my taste could have used more seasoning. both of us enjoyed the chowder though. i felt like some of the potatoes almost had an out-of-freezer texture to them, but overall a creamy ne style chowder with flavorful recognizably large bits of clam. to me, it's a bit on the expensive side for a casual beachside bite, but i spend most of my time in a city with a much lower cost of living.
