best buisness lunch in doha, the food is artistic and fresh accorded to what idam chef finds in the market

qr 200 is competitive for a 3 stars michelin level restaurant and lunch offer is also available on saturdays

if you go for a la carte menu like my friend did:

- the harira mezze is magnificient

- the camel rossini with foie gras and truffle sauce is to die for

- the date souffle is a shortcut to heaven

the drinks are just fabulous and refreshing + the ambiance a bit formal but unique with the design and view

they have valet parking and the service is excellent - my best experience in town :)

once again the most amazing, dinning experience.
i came back to doha, which is now my must do transit stop on the way from australia to europe, just to experience this divine restaurant again and see if i had not been dreaming the first time around…..no.. everything about idam’s is still quite simply…. perfection….
the exquisite food, presentation, service, setting, decor, and atmosphere are all in a class one seldom finds. combining french and arabic influences the ramadan iftar set menu selection could not be faulted but i can hardly wait to find out what their a la carte menu will be like.
presented with imagination and flair there are so many tempting morsels which continually surprise and delight, such unexpected combinations and flavours, each one a tribute to the creativity of the chef and then when you think you have finally come to the end of this symphony there are two unbelievable dessert trolleys ….and no one does sweet temptations like the arabs…
it’s set in the islamic art museum so naturally it is not licensed but to accompany each course there were several light, fresh fruit juice concoctions. this was not just a meal it was a taste of heaven.

located in the heart of doha in the museum of islamic art , restaurant offers stunning panoramic views of the city skyline. the interior design is really exquisite and elegant, i would say luxurious and comfortable ambiance at the same time.
i had a chance to visit the restaurant for business lunch and had the best dining lunch experience in town. exquisite and good quality food, amazing cocktails, attentive staff and impeccable service.
will definitely visit them for dinner or special occasion.  worth to experience truly fine dining in doha.

have had the pleasure of dining 3 times now at idam by alain ducasse; twice for lunch and once for a sohour last ramadan and each occasion has been a delight!
the restaurant is located in the beautiful museum of islamic art here in doha, with the fabulous interior designed by world-renowned french designer, philippe starck. guests can avail of fantastic views of the doha skyline through the floor to ceiling windows, while they dine.
the first time i dined at idam was to sample the ramadan sohour menu that commenced with a selection of 3 mezze; saffron cromesquis, baby leave and green samboussek, fattouche salad, rabbit and foie gras pate, summer flower and vegetable salad and french snails.
the starter consisted of delicate "harira" soup or chilled tomato "consomme" minestrone. i chose the consomme and it was was very good.
a crockpot of lightly spiced vegetables or a cumin zucchini crockpot, flower and sage followed. i chose the first option and again, it was excellent.
our mains consisted of free range chicken, coco-curry and basmati rice or roasted wild hammour with soft and crunchy egyptian rice. i had the chicken, which was perfectly cooked.
a plate-cleanser of poached peach with redcurrant granite or roasted apricots and iran pistachio followed and then our dessert of date souffle with laban sorbet (which was fantastic and a stand-out dish for me!). idam always follows their meals by offering guests a great selection of chocolates, meringues and other sweets (and arabic pastries in ramadan) and offers a great selection of fresh juices and mocktails.
on my second visit to idam, i had lunch there, which consisted of: mrouzia lamb risolles, winter white vegetable and black truffle salad, marinated bonite fish from the arabian gulf with lemon gold caviar, kabssa free range chicken with cereals and lemon and soft, crunchy and iced iranian pistachio to finish. again, it was a great experience.
on my last visit, we partook in a healthy lunch as part of a healthy eating initiative at qiff 2016. chef alain ducasse was in attendance too, which made the meal even more special. we started with chickpeas and lentils in harira vinegrette, vegetable and flower salad with a black truffle condiment, marinated wild red prawns with gold caviar, crockpot of tiny spelt, seasonal vegetables and herb pesto and roasted and confit citrus. the meal was very light, fresh and tasty (and healthy!).
in summary, the food at idam is always innovative, fresh and extremely tasty. staff are very well trained and knowledgeable and the location is fantastic. prices are high, but the food is of extremely high quality. they do, however, offer a 3 course business lunch on wed, thurs and sat from 12.30-3pm for qr 200, which would be a great way to check out this great restaurant, but not break the bank.

we went for the july gastronomic offer which was qar 590 for a tasting menu for two. the food was great, most of it fantastic and the flavors different to what i have had before which made it interesting. the service is one of the best in the courtney. the offer came with matching juice each course which went meal but the water was extra and very pricey at qar 40 a bottle. i would certainly go back again if an similar offer was available.

i walked into this place while on a visit to the islamic art museum. the ambiance is good and classy. we tried their most popular tender camel meat. to be honest, it tasted good but the portion size was too small.  when it comes to the prices, it is way expensive compared with the overall quality. can be tried for one time.

starting with the ambience and location, this fine diner has the best location with an amazing atmosphere, classy decorations, neat tables, spacious area and luxurious double height ceiling, terrace outdoor area is super stunning amid the gulf with the surrounding lights of doha buildings.

unfortunately, their platters portions are small, taste is normal, greasy with too much spices which covered the original food taste.
i tried the tender camel meat which is the most famous platter.

for the desserts, their idam chocolate is a very nice and light choice (without the chocolate ice cream).
we tried dates soufflé which was delicious but sort of heavy and too much sugary.

rates for main course are super exaggerated and my advice for classy diner lovers is to try it for it’s desserts only (unless you are used to heavy food and crazy expensive bills)

reservations are mandatory and free valet parking.

this place has the one of the finest ambiance in qatar. but the food i very pricey . i went there only to sit there any enjoy the ambiance but for the sake of ordering i ordered one turkish coffee. i had no  idea of what the hell i had ordered . the coffee was the most ridiculous thing i have ever tasted in qatar. it was sour , it was hot, it was bitter and it was may a things which i can't explain. but it smelled good . i left the place without finishing the coffee. but if you can spent a nice amount of money then this will be the perfect place for a weekend dinner. but don,t go as a big gang and mess up the whole mood. lol

visited this place for lunch during a working day. we had a 4 course meal that was outstanding in every way. my favorite part the end: a dark chocolate raspberry dessert. i know you normally need reservations, but i guess we were just lucky we were able to walk in.
