not the worst tappan i've ever had but not the best either. i wouldn't go back. this place has zero ambiance and thefoodwas somewhat bland. broccoli? i've never thought of broccoli to be a japanese veggie ... also the worst fried rice i've ever had!

a wonderful friendly neighbourhood hibachi restaurant that has been around for a very long time ... which speaks volumes in and of itself. thefoodis quite excellent. visited mostly for much and i usually have the chicken option and ask them to prepare it spicy.

this is a very large hibachi japanese restaurant - they must have 12 grills or more. dinner was very good, but pretty run of the mill. is that if you've seen one you've seen them all? maybe. the cook always very nice and worked hard. the waitress was attentive. thefoodwas great and cooked exactly as requested. looking for hibachi dinner? you'll be safe here.

this is a good place to eat japanesefoodbut with just one drink and desert it goes well beyond $50 per head, which is steep. if you stick to water and don't go for dessert and manage with cheapest combo you can experience this place in $30. but that's not the point, it is about enjoying and i enjoy it once every visit.
today i had chicken and prawns combo, this has been my favorite since i found salmon combo from here was not working for me. it goes course by course salad, soup, appetizers and main course, dessert is not part of it and you have to go for it independently.

if you are looking for japanese and are in uptown area, drop by, worth it.

great atmosphere and staff.
kid friendly, they love the flaming onion volcano. :)
they had never heard of tomadachi (plum wine mixed half and half with saki) served warm, so i guess we introduced them to something new. :p
even though they never heard of it they made it for us and it was great!
we will be coming back!!
