food and service. pretty good food, if you eat in. special buffets are excellent, a lot of good food for the money, but come hungry if you want to get your money's worth and you'll not be disappointed. the eat in service is good, too!

one caveat, if you are doing takeout, make sure you have what you ordered before you leave the restaurant. i have had problems, and i have seen other people have problems with their takeout orders, so just check before you leave. i always check my mcdonald's drive thru order, and i guess you should just check everywhere, because mistakes happen.

first time eating here. fried mushrooms were good stuffed with cream cheese. i had the cajun pasta which had a good flavor; just very rich, but will enjoy warmed up later. i had a bite of the porkchops and have to say they were very good...tender and like eating a good steak. i will be going back and do recommend. something on the menu for everyone. staff very hospitable and friendly. :)

houndstooth grill 3/10/12. seriously not impressed. the food was adequate, at best. sides were plated, while my chicken piccata was cooking, and were cool when served. the chicken was tender, cooked through; but not flavorful. service was nearly nonexistant. our server took our order, brought the food, checked on us once and disappeared until she brought the check. refills of our drinks - no. there was plenty of staff and the restaurant was not full, so she just wasn't interested in good customer service. this was reflected in her tip. next time i'm in the area and hungry, i'll go to the diner in sugarhill.

tilapia picatta. the sauce is made to order with real butter, fresh squeezed lemon juice, capers and chicken broth. you will lick the plate!!!

awesome lunch. crab and artichoke dip was great and the spinach salad was perfect and made right. beautiful dining room with well appointed details. we were passing thru and will stop again nxt time in the area.

delicious.. my family and i love eating at houndstooth. it's by far our favorite restaurant in the area. some of our favorites are the grouper fingers, fried green tomatoes, buffalo chicken quesadilla, chicken fajita quesadilla, fried shrimp, grilled salmon, and quiche of the day...especially chicken & broccoli quiche. the macaroni and cheese on the kids' meal is to die for...and they'll let you order it as a side item. the cheesecake is top-notch, as is the calamari. the atmosphere is calm and inviting, and the employees are great. we eat there as often as possible...

fried oysters. these oysters are crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside.

great local restaurant. i have been to houndstooth several times and i have never been disappointed. i particularly like the seafood dishes. the fried oysters are crispy on the outside and juicy and succulent on the inside. the fried grouper is some of the freshest i have ever had. try the houndstooth salad with bacon vinaigrette and the grilled asparagus. houndstooth also does a brunch on easter.
