hon sushi

20180728 saturday. my boyfriend, me and our friend had a dinner at hon sushi. thefoodwas better than we thought. we enjoyed our dinner there. 

hon sushi is a japanese restaurant on kingsway st., burnaby. it served all you can eat sushi before. after changed the ower a few years ago, it began to serve both japanese and korean dishes. 
 
we had chicken cheese hotpot and special rolls (volcano roll) to share. chicken cheese hotpot was ok in the super large portion. the chicken part had too much sauce. the volcano roll was our favorite. it was in super large portion, included three parts: spicy salmon sashimi, salad, and roll. it was made by cucumber, avocado, deep-fried prawn, asparagus, crab meat, salmon, cream cheese, and red bell pepper, topped with spicy salmon. the sauce was very tasty and fresh. it was a great combination. three people shared this dish. 

in summary, we had a good experience dining out at hon sushi. the price of thefoodwas a little bit expensive. all thefoodtogether was like $71.

haven't tried the japanesefoodhere, but i had the koreanfoodand it was delicious. good atmosphere, good service, clean restaurant, and private tables. 5/5 based for the tasty koreanfoodi had here.

honsushi has a japanese and korean menu available so you can pick and choose to suit your hearts desires. from our quick study of the menu, you can likely find common favourites from either type of cuisine. sushi, udon, japchae, bulbolgi, you name it. today, our desire for koreanfoodwon but then again, with this group of friends... korean fried chicken always wins.

tasty place for koreanfoodbut just average japanese food. the haemul pajeon is really good with decent seafood and crispy edges. the honey garlic soy chicken wings were also good but not as crunchy as i would've liked -- flavour was spot on though.

seating area is nice and spacious , the restaurant is really clean. they offer good service, they offer fair price, and thefoodis really good.

tried their house roll, original chicken, and la galbi + mushroom tofu soup combo. the service was mediocre to average. but thefoodis pretty good!! definitely worth a try~

i have tried twice in this restaurant. i should say "it was not bad!" better than i expected! the foods we ordered were fresh and tasty. only one thing i was a little bit upset was the speed of service was too slow. maybe they didn't have enough staffs at that time. well, i still will go again because of thefoodand price.
