i had the pleasure of being invited to the himani indiancuisineto wish a farwell to a friend. we reserved two rows of huge tables for the bunch of us (18 per table). it was noon, and i had no idea that our little town had such a restaurant with indian food. i've never tried it. we were there during the buffet, so there were many offerings to choose from.
i choose to have:
naan (flat bread to use as a tool with the rice. very authentic. we had no idea that there were people from india here in our small town. then following: himani chicken curry with basmati rice, this was rice in a bowl, then covered with the chicken curry. followed by bajji, a potatoe dipped in garbonzo batter and fryed, then for the sweet part; and gajar halwa, which is shredded carrots cooked with cardamom and milk. it looked strange, but was ver, very good!
it was a fun, relaxing atmosphere, with servers right there to help with any questions and service.
