whatever you feel like having, this place makes it the best. theirlunchspecial is a bargain and they still serve the best quality good. it feels like dining at a premium restaurant at affordable prices.

you can’t go wrong with heat!! very nice setting and very professional service. the food is very good and thelunchmenu good value for money! the steaks are to die for! heat will definitely see me again.

i stopped in here recently for alunchbreak whilst shopping, and heat grill room is definitely one of the more upmarket restaurants in woodlands boulevard but we had a mixed experience with our meals. 

heat grill room, established in 2005, has beautiful taupe interiors and as per the name, focus' its effort on all things steaks. the outdoor terrace and upstairs sections are known for their lovely views and as such, are popular with all the local diners. 
judging by the look of the restaurant, i expected the prices to be on the higher side, but was pleasantly suprised to find that hey have a very affordablelunchspecial every day comprised of dishes at only r79 each. think peri peri half chicken, 200g sirloin, chicken curry, hake, calamari, trinchado, chicken schnitzel.. 

to eat, we ordered:
trinchado: tender beef cubes in a spicy continental garlic & chilli sauce.
chicken and avocado wrap: grilled chicken breast, avo, rocket, cherry tomatoes and a honey mustard mayo.
200g sirloin and calamari combo. 

the trinchado was full of fat and i had to keep spitting out the fatty pieces of meat so i very quickly decided to just leave the dish and move on.. onto the sirloin, which was cooked medium-rare and to perfection. delicious.
presentation of the dishes isn't spectacular, but the meals (apart from the trinchado) were tasty and i felt that the value-for-money at r79 a meal is good. 

i do however feel that heat grill room need to be careful not to compromise on the quality of the meals with these daily specials. as in the case of the trinchado, if i had judged them on just that meal, this review would be quite different. 

service was good. the food arrived quickly and so did our drinks. 

*recommendation: for a more upmarket feel on your next visit to woodlands boulevard, i would recommend one of heat grill room's steaks and opting to sit upstairs or on the outdoor terrace.

hadlunchwith my family. we often eat at heat as it close to home and the food is usually good. must say, i was quite disappointed this time. the service from the waiter wasn't good. the food was average. steak was well done instead of medium. blue cheese and vodka sauce wasn't great. the onion rings are usually one of the highlights of the meal and they've been replaced with these strange "onion wedges" which are basically small pieces of onion smothered in greasy batter, not good. so overall, can't say i'd return again in a hurry considering their prices are a bit above average and the food wasn't really worth it.

quite a fancy place this... in fact probably wouldn't feel comfortable going here with a jean and tekkies :) went here for a businesslunchand was pleasantly surprised to find alunchspecials menu which was very affordable (dare i say cheap). i had a great steak and good service too.

we popped in for an unplanned saturdaylunchand was pleasantly surprised. classic and stylish restaurant, with an extensive wine list and great service. i had the moroccan salad - very tasty and a generous portion. a very enjoyable experience!

it's always a good time at heat! it's a pretty venue...with tasty food. and thelunchspecials are a winner. a must visit when in woodlands.

tried the carpaccio on a recommendation and was happy with the large plate and sides that accopanied it.lunchspecials are a clever way to distract clients from neighbouring restaurants with similiar deals, but do yourself a favour and go for the service and the view.

i have been to heat multiple times before and have always had a lovely time dining here. today a friend and i stopped by for lunch. we started with cocktails. i had a frozen cucumber and basil daiquiri which was so refreshing and delicious. i had the bacon and blue cheese salad which i really enjoyed, although there was hardly any bacon in the salad. the blue cheese and pecans were plenty though which i really liked. my friend had the haloumi salad which was lovely too. the haloumi was generous and still soft - not cold and rubbery. unfortunately we did not receive any bread rolls and butter while we waited for our food. we had to ask for these which arrived half way through our lunch. we also asked for some iced water which came in a glass bottle for us to help ourselves too. only annoying thing was that we were given the tiniest little glasses to drink the water out of which was not very convenient on this hot day, being as thirsty as we were. overall we had a lovelylunchand heat really is an elegant and classy looking restaurant.

a friend invited me over forlunchand i decided to have the trinchad. the meal was okay for me bt not exactly my favourite tasting. my friend enjoyed her meal but i guess we all have diffrent taste buds. beside the food i applaude the great service that they give to their customers.

hadlunchhere with my mom today. the staff are great. service is very good. the food is absolutely delicious and the salad that i had accompanying my soya sauce steak was fresh and superb. i cannot wait for my second visit soon.
