usually very good, not so last night.. i've been going to havana grill's sister restaurant, the florida cafe, for years and have always had a good experience. and since havana grill opened, i've had good luck there.
until last night.
our party of five arrived about 10:00 and ordered quickly. the restaurant was not crowded.
it took more than 45 minutes for a fairly simple order (3 cubanos, 2 arroz con pollo) to arrive and only arrived after we had to flag down our hard-to-find server. he told us the problem was the plaintains weren't ready, so we told him to bring us everything else.
after a few minutes, the three sandwiches and one of the arroz con pollos arrived. the server said the kitchen was still 'working' on the other order. we told him to forget it and two of us split the serving we did have.
food was good. the music was way too loud, prohibiting conversation.
it was a very disappointing experience. it will be a long time before i try them again.
