twice now we've come to half day to have breakfast, only to find out they are closed for one reason or another (and it's not on a sunday.) so disappointing... a heads up on the website would be appreciated so we didn't drive 30m out of our way, only to go somewhere else.

probably wont be back, not worth risking the frustration again.

fantastic!. half day cafe is great! the service was wonderful, the atmosphere is cozy and laid back. the food came out quick and hot, and most importantly the food was fantastic!!

i had the egg strata, which was really delicious. my only complaint that is was so hot, it look me almost 10 minutes to start to dig into it for the fear of really burning my tongue. but i would rather it be really hot, versus cold- so i'm not really complaining too much.

my husband had the bacon, eggs, hash browns and pancakes- he loved every bite of it!

i'm definitely looking forward to going back to half day cafe, it was a refreshing change of pace versus the usual breakfast hot spots.

headed to half day for breakfast on my day off. i wanted something quiet and chill. this place was perfect. very relaxed. i have driven past here tons of time, but finally made time to eat in. the coffee was great, and they kept my cup full. i ordered the skillet scramble with rosemary potatoes. i meant to order bacon on the side, but forgot!

cozy cafe. inventive menu. large draw for local residents, however no competition nearby. inconsistent with customer service. would recommend for a business coffee or meeting, however not a family outing. staff was unprofessional, rude to my family/small children. had a more pleasant family brunch recently at the 5 star restaurant nearby 😀.

about a 30 minute drive from my home in western hills, but it was 100% worth my time.  the atmosphere was light and welcoming- they were extremely busy but we were sat immediately and given friendly service.  you could tell our waitress had formed friendships with the customers, leading me to believe there are many repeat customers.  i plan to be one myself!  ordered the sweet potato pancake and it was fluffy but savory.  overall win!

going out for breakfast on a saturday morning is one of those experiences that we absolutely love.  the best is sleeping in, waking up without an alarm, and just deciding to throw on some clothes and head out! we don’t do it often, but when we do, we’re always looking for a new place.  for us, great breakfast includes protein and pancakes.  a good breakfast place must do both very well.  half day cafe in wyoming does just that.

a bustling day in the cafe. we were seated quickly and attended to almost as quickly. i got the white cheddar grits, which were fantastic and tasty. i also got the root vegetable salad, which wasn't as delicious as i hoped. my husband got the sweet potato pancakes with some bacon. we were not as impressed with those items, even though they were tasty too. i highly recommend trying this place. it is well worth the drive.

my absolute favorite place to go for breakfast! the mango smoothie us absolutely delicious. one of the gems on the menu is the grilled grapefruit. they grill it, then caramelize sugar and ginger on top.

the best thing on the table was the biscuits and gravy ($9.99).  the biscuits were substantial but still light and fluffy and the gravy had a very distinct sausage flavor. it didn’t have that floury taste...

good food, rude service. if you want some great grits -- go here. if you don't care how you are treated -- also a great place to go.
customers have choices...there are lots of good breakfast spots in town -- since this seems to be the in meal.
we get to vote with our feet and checkbooks.

delicious. my niece and i ate here today. a bite out on our girls day out is pecial for us. my son told me about half day some time ago and i am so glad it came to mind today. my niece, very picky eater, loved her scramble and finished her food which she never does. i had the sweet potato pie pancake dish, delicious! for me it was not any more expensive than any of the great breakfast places around cincinnati. we have already planned our next visit.

best breakfast i've ever eaten. found this great cafe in a google search for cincinnatti-area diners. while it was a bit of a drive, it was completely worth it. the diner is warm, welcoming, and very clean. excellent service and the best breakfast food i have ever eaten. we tried the broiled grapefruit with carmelized ginger sugar, which has a surprising and pleasant blend of spicy, sweet, and tart in every bite. i had a blueberry and pecan buttermilk pancake that was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious with a side of applewood smoked bacon. the pancake was big enough to be filling all on its own. my sister tried the mango butter rum pancake and loved it. though it was way too much food for the two of us, we also wanted to try the oatmeal and the white cheddar grits. the grits were delicious, and i ended up saving the oatmeal for lunch. even cold, the cranberries, pecans, and brown sugar blended with the oatmeal to create a very pleasing dish. i would return again and again to this cafe. the owner spoke with us and was very pleasant. a great dining experience!

wyoming local. this restaurant is simply amazing! dale (the owner) almost always greets us at the door and genuinely has an interest in everyone he sees. he is the real deal! remember the television show cheers? well, the half day cafe is that "local hangout" where everyone knows your name and has food is top notch. thank you dale, patty and staff for always going to extra mile. we love your restaurant and the food is superior to any other local breakfast place. love you! please stop by and experience a luscious butter rum pancake sometime. it is delectable.

nice breakfast...but a bit pricey. we had breakfast at half day cafe last thursday. the restaurant is nicely decorated and very comfortable; the menu is eclectic and trendy but one might expect that in wyoming, ohio. i really enjoyed my scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and whole grain toast with selection of jams. admittedly, breakfast was almost twenty dollars for two which is a bit pricey but the biggest problem is that the place was noisy! the waitress was sweet and friendly but simply couldn't hear us well! not sure what they can do about that...and despite the place being half full, the parking lot was overflowing. that being said, i still would recommend half day cafe, especially if you are entertaining out of town guests.
