sunset. great , great food with the most beautiful sunset on the grand strand.

great atmosphere and beautiful view! the waitress was very nice and attentive! the only issue i had was that my food was a little too over-seasoned for my taste, but they were more than happy to remove the meal from my bill. i'm sure that when their weekend chef is there, the food is seasoned to perfection. overall, nice place.

come for the views, return for the food!. the one thing that attracts you to gulfstream is the setting...surrounded by the beautiful marshes and marina at the corner of garden city and murrells inlet, this is one of the most beautiful places you'll ever see. they have a rooftop bar area that's outside and often have a live band or dj playing to make the evening one to remember.

the seafood and steaks are 4-star...definitely good and you won't be disappointed. they don't have a huge menu, but plenty of choices. not a "beach-casual" restaurant...you will want to be fully dressed and showered, but it's not a full dress-up affair either. prices are about average for fine dining, and well worth it. this is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants.

best view and food on the grand strand!. you absolutely can't beat the food at gulfstream cafe! the oyster shooters are my favorite! they're loved so much a customer actually painted them! if you go at sunset, you're sure to have an amazing view.

a gem. my meal here was very nicely prepared. for my main course, i tried the sauteed softshell blue crab. it was expertly prepared and tasty. i did discover i don't like softshell as well as i like hardshell that has been picked from the shell, but the kitchen prepared the crab nicely.

also, the starter i tried was the she-crab soup. it was absolutely delicious. i tried three different versions while i was in the area, and this one was head and shoulder above all the rest. it was a 4-star soup!

as others have mentioned, the views out over the salt marsh are very nice, and the decore of the restaurant is rustic but appealing. overall, this was my best dining experience in the myrtle beach area. my ratings were:

my husband and i are vacationing here from maine and we enjoyed our meal last night it was good but... more than anything we would like you to know our server was wonderful. his name is micheal and after a week of poor service staff at other locations we wanted to make sure you all know you have an amazing server in micheal. having served for years and managing one of the few 5 star restaurants in our area i know a classically trained and talented server. thank you to micheal for understanding that there is a right and a wrong way to serve and not just plopping food on our table then walking away. he is pleasant, personable, and knows how to do his job well! he's the kind of server that gives a restaurant a good name and shining review regardless of what you have to eat...

the view is "to die for", and so is the food. the menu is slightly limited, but since i always get the scallops/shrimp, as long as they have that combo, i'm happy. delicious; wait staff is professional and prompt; great experience.

we had a group of 7. service was excellent. (mandy) apps came out quick as well as drinks. entrees were also prompt and delicious. had a nice time.

this is absolutely one of her favorite sunday brunch restaurant. the view and the food is incredible. we always take special guest here for sunday brunch. although it is a little pricey it is very worth it. are young grandchildren like eating there because their selection always fits their wants. i highly recommend getting reservations because they are always busy. i recommend the gulfstream café to locals and tourists.

delicious!! very fast seating & great atmosphere. food was delicious! make sure to go for the early bird from 4-5pm, prices are great with large portions! would recommend & go back again!!

we came here for a wedding reception and we had made the reservations four months in advance. it wasn't until we arrived to the restaurant that we were informed that they couldn't accommodate a party of our size and they split us up into two tables that weren't even close to each other. it was outrageous that they didn't inform us that they couldn't accommodate for us when we had made these reservations for our party size so early and we had been contacted days prior to confirm our large party size. none of these times were we informed we would have to be split. it was a mess. it was like none of the staff knew what to do.

on the other hand the food was wonderful. i would have expected a primarily seafood restaurant to offer oysters on the half shell but they didn't. they had a platter of shooters but they were shots. i ordered the southern fried scallops and oysters and the scallops were the best scallops i've ever had.

i'd say visit for the excellent food. you will have to make reservations to get in here but don't expect them to be upfront about their services.

what a view! great ambiance, great food, amazing view. wait staff is incredible. salmon amazing. key lime pie was to die for. locals we need to keep it a secret .

we chose this place because of primarily good reviews. i think it was average food and overpriced. the fish of the day wasn't caught locally, which disappointed me. the waiter couldn't tell me if the grouper was local. the fried platter was local. it was piping hot on arrival, but nothing special. we had a reservation for 7:30 and we got right in without waiting- that was a plus!

upstair - bar area. if you go here, don't go upstairs to the bar area to sit or eat, the young lady up there running the bar is a rude individual. she gives preference to the locals and doesn't care about others. we sat down first and ask for the tv to be turned on to the braves which was off at the time. she turns it on and then after it being on for a while she tells us that the other people want it on another channel even though we were already watching it. she never ask if we want dessert and never filled our drinks for refills. i spoke to the manager but he seemed to not care. sorry but i wouldn't return since he doesn't care.

nothing special. food is just okay, nothing special and is over priced for what you get; limited selection on menu; you are paying for the view.
