food was good, the service was slow. the key lime pie was good.

very dissappointing. gulfshore grill used to be our go to place for special occasions. it has been remodeled since the hurricane. it has no ambience other than being on the beach. the restaurant and bar are very plain and not eye appealing at all. i brought out of town guests and my elderly parents, eight in all with a 3 and 5 year old. we waited to be seated almost 10 minutes-with no one else waiting. 3 servers at the bar just looked at us, one even brought menu's and walked away. once seated we were pretty much ignored. bread came -no plates. drinks came very late. kids drinks came even later--the waiter said they had to run to the store to get the milk. we ordered, ---orders were not followed, do not get the fish taco's, about 3 strands of cabbage, tiny piece of fish, rice could be used as a hockey puck. better yet and the worst--the kids did not get their dinners until the adults had finished. there is no excuse for that. a 3 and 5 year old with no food the entire meal, until we were ready to leave--then they forgot the fries and we had to get boxes to take the food home. i could not wait to get out of there. so severely disappointed.
i have lived down there for 27 years and that was the absolute worst. i do not recommend this restaurant --it will spoil your vacation. do your research.

fantastic view!. brought northern family here for a first time visit to fort myers beach. arrived early for dinner and got prime seating with a great view of the gulf. food was good but not spectacular. i ordered the mango salad and clam chowder soup. the lettuce at tha salad bar was much fresher than my salad off the menu. i was the last to get my order with our large group and felt my salad had sat for a long time along with my soup that was delicious but cold. service was not the best but the general food quality and view made up for it i guess.

great apps, drinks and service!. we were looking for fresh seafood for appetizers (not battered and fried) and some cocktails while overlooking the water. easy, right? from looking at a local menus, notsomuch. enter gulfshore grill. we had oysters on the half shell, ceviche, shrimp calusa and cocktails. our server, emily, was attentive, knew the menu and caught on to our likes and anticipated things we might want. there was a guitarist playing beach favorites and we overlooked the beach. it was exactly what we were looking for and loved every bit of it.

like a 60's restaurant. old fashioned menu that is mediocre at best. geriatric clientele, indifferent wine. has a great location with a gulf view, too bad the food is poor.

not sure what all the raves are about. food was decent, not spectacular. but service was horrendous, from hostess through the waiter. long, long wait for him to come the first time, then never came back to check how things were! we left without dessert....

great food and great view. what a great restaurant and a great view. we have always had good meals there whether it was for brunch, lunch, or dinner. servers are always nice and there is a very nice saladbar. sunsets are viewed in their full glory from the dining area!

cottage beach bar & grill. ate here a couple times last week. clam chowder was excellent both nights. had the shrimp one night and mahi the other. the shrimp was better than the mahi. nothing fancy or special about the bar. just that is open air and on the beach. great view. had good service here.

the view is great and the food is good.. this is one of the two places i always bring visitors and guests. the view of the beach and the gulf of mexico is wonderful, and is the best part of this restaurant.

the food is good, but there is nothing special about it. i've never been disappointed in the food, but without the view it is just another restaurant.

we ate here during our trip to fmb. food was excellent. view was amazing. restaurant dies not smell musty. salad bar is immaculate and diverse. blackened mahi is the real thing. fish tacos are delish!!! prices are ok but portions are big! definitely worth your time and money.
