move over $5 footlongs, why would you waste time & money at an inferior sub shop when you can get a far superior sandwich for less? here's the tip: a grove's market sandwich is much too large for one person to eat. share a sandwich with a friend, they ave

hidden treasure for sandwiches. hungry for a sandwich or sub? this is the place. not at all fancy but good quality and large quantity sets the grove market and deli above the rest.

great little market for specialty ingredients as well as cheeses and meats. a great place to pack a picnic basket. in-house deli makes top-notch sandwiches.

what a superb little sandwich shop and grocery. if you like big, hearty sandwiches, this is the place to head to. i ordered a blt and it was outstanding! lot's fresh lettuce, tomato and bacon, bacon, bacon. a half sandwich is more than enough for any appetite. it is sandwich shops like this place that put those "franchise" shops to shame.

cmon slc!!! hold yourselves to a higher standard when it comes to food. this sandwich was as bland as it gets. the quality of the products in the sandwich were very basic no higher quality than what you would get from the lower level shelf at any grocery store. no uniqueness or creativity when it comes to the sandwiches just a ton of processed meat and cheeses with mayo and mustard. wow! never thought of that before! the quality of the turkey was disgusting, thick slices of processed meat. can anyone help me find a real deli sandwich is this town? you know who liked the sandwich? my trashcan

i’m here for their famous sandwiches, or should i say small loaves of bread stuffed, and i mean stuffed, with meats. consider the big john, a combo of ham, turkey, roast beef, pastrami, corned beef, salami and bologna (am i possibly missing any deli meats?), along with swiss and american chee

big portion and bread is tasty but big sandwich doesn't equal good quality.

awesome deli!. i just moved to the corner of grove street and grand street and this deli is my new go-to place to get sandwiches. they have by far the best sandwiches that i've had since moving to jersey city around 3 years ago. the employees are nice and quick and the price is very reasonable. it normally costs around $7 for a sandwich and they have sandwich specials everyday that will run you $4.99 for a huge sandwich with fresh ingredients.

5 stars, no doubt about it. i go there 3-4 times a week and have never been disappointed.

****also - this place is open 24/7 so that is a huge point. if you want a late night sandwich and any munchies imaginable then go here! *****

my good lunch friend was anxious to take me here to try their sandwiches. it's quite an adventure. i am always on the hunt for places where the food doesn't stand alone; it has to be the full experience. straight out of the 1950's from the exterior, you wouldn't know that there was a deli inside; except for a few picnic tables. the place is part mini-mart, part deli; all hoarders paradise. i'm pretty sure that most of the food in the aisles was placed there over 30 years ago. nobody was their to buy anything but the sandwiches freshly made at the deli counter in back. as for the sandwiches, they are meant to be eaten for lunch and dinner. i ordered the corned beef with lettuce, tomato, red onion, mustard and mayonnaise all served on a loaf of bread. they are enormous. at first i was disappointed because all i could taste was the bread. it was a little overwhelming. i barely got through half of it during lunch. i picked at it later in the day but was a little sandwiched out at that poin
