greek tony's pizza & sub shop

eat here only if. you can appreciate what a real pizza should taste like. this is by far the best i've tasted in indy and one of the best i've tasted in my many travels coast to coast. the first indicater was hockey all over the walls. the decor rings out east coast.

to sum up tony's pizza....flavor....the kind you crave and will only get from a good mom & pop place. good sauce and tasty dough.. nuff said.

greek tony's is nothing fancy. everything about it says old and it doesn't have any spit and shine of a chain pizza joint. but, it does have great pizza. we had bread sticks, pizza, and a chicken gyro. the bread sticks were good but a little too buttery for my liking. the wife loved them. too hot to handle. the pizza crust is great. perfect combo of chewy and crunchy. chicken gyro was very good and generous with the grilled chicken. service was very fast and friendly we will definitely come back.

reviews seemed mixed between best in town and not great. so i wanted to try it out. i thought the bread sticks were pretty good. i appreciate the take out person bagging the bread sticks because when i got home i had several ounces of oil at the bottom of the bag. the pizza was also pretty decent, but not worth the price. my wife thought it was too salty, but i like salty so i didn't notice. i would eat here again but i wouldn't go out of my way for the pizza.

i had ordered a large greek salad with chicken and an order of breadsticks.  my order was delivered wrong and i was overcharged.  i called the manager (it was a woman)  i told her that this was my first experience with the restaurant and i wasn't happy.  she told me that they've been in business for 32 years and hung up on me.  not professional.

the best pizza in indy.. the place looks like it hasn't been remodeled, since the 80's and it probably hadn't, but i like that it still looks like an 80's throw back. on the other hand, the pizza is better than any franchise pizza; way better! it's a reasonable price too. like good pizzeria, they have anchovies. they may be for the select few, but that you can get them ifs reassuring, this place doesn't change, just to suit current fashions. an oasis of good pizza in a desert of generic (carmel).

excellent!!! this is one if carmel's best kept secrets! i love this place, and the customer service is always good. it's a pizza/sub place, not a 5 star high priced restaraunt. i honestly value the food more than their customer service which has always been excellent. they have gone above and beyond my expectations sometimes. i also order from them a lot for lunches at work, and they are always on time and have never messed up an order. i think their tex mex pizza is awesome, but everything i've ever got from them has been awesome. if you haven't tried greek tony's you are truly missing out.

i really don't know what swashongton03 problem is, but it's interesting that he posted the same review almost a month apart. my guess is he is another carmel elitist who thinks the world revolves around him and is probably a very rude person to deliberately try to hurt a family run business. i suggest he goes to pizza hut. they have great customer service and crap pizza. so would just ignore his rant.

horrible!!!!!!. 2/1/14 - today i had a really bad experience at greek tony's. i was there with my son's basketball team along with their parents so it was pretty hectic. in situations like this, it's only natural that food orders may come out incorrect.... the true test is the type of customer service that is provided from this experience. based off of how i was treated, it was obvious to me that this restaurant does not value its customers and the staff was very unprofessional. to make a long story short - my order was wrong and when i sent it back and asked to be refunded because i did not want to wait another 30 minutes, the manager (the owner's daughter) was very rude and basically said what's the big deal and couldn't understand why i just wouldn't eat the pizza..... i was not a belligerent or upset customer but because i wanted to speak to the owner to express my disappointment in the customer service (as a first time patron) i was told that the owner was out of town and the manager told me not to come back to the restaurant. wow is all i can say! how was i in the wrong because my order was incorrect?.... i will never patronize greek tony's again and certainly won't recommend this restaurant to my family or friends. i will spend my money where it is appreciated and not taken granted. good luck because you will need it in this day and age with so many other options available.

horrible customer service. i experienced the most horrible customer service from this place that i have ever experienced. management is a joke and does not resolve issues created by their employees.

p.s. the potatoe soup was horrible and bland.

ugh. totally regret just ordering this pizza. thought i'd try for the first time. i probably would've thought this pizza was good if it was 3 am and i just ordered from my dorm room.

worst delivery experience ever! i waited 2 hours for a small pizza. i've been ordering from this place for months and was given no reason or even an apology as to why it took 3 phone calls, 2 hours for a simple small pizza delivery. never again!

had the gyro pizza and loved it. my only complaint is like other ownership should change their mind about charging for substituting a veggie topping with another. i don't like tomatoes or green peppers and would have love to have mushrooms on my pizza and i feel like i should not have to pay extra for it.

amazing. breaksticks and normal crust pizza. small. pinaple, ham, extra cheese. the pizza topings go all the way to the crust edge. there is a small crust edge cooked perfectly with just enough crisp to get that good oven fire baked taste but still soft crust. extra cheese really was extra! pinapple was cooked well. ham was good.

the breadsticks were soft. covered in a pond of garlic butter goodness!
