greek tony's pizza & sub shop

great pizza joint with friendly staff!. wife and i were up around carmel and decided to try this legendary local pizza joint. the place was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. we opted for a thin crust pepperoni & sausage pizza. the crust was crispy and tasted handmade. the pizza was pretty darn good tasting. we will certainly visit this place again.

if you don't like great chicago style beef, gyros, or good pizza, don't come here. awesome lunch specials as well.

great atmosphere. i have been going to greek tony's for the past 22 years. i have never been disappointed. i remember when they were around the corner in a different part of the strip mall. my personal favorites are the godfather sub, and the mama's sub. also the breadsticks are fantastic. they come steaming hot to your table drenched in butter. highly recommeneded to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.

i absolutely love places that are throwbacks to an earlier age, and greek tony's looks like a place that hasn't changed in quite some time. when so much of carmel looks new and fancy it's refreshing to see a place that doesn't fit that meme. they are located in an older building, they have years of collected hockey memorabilia on one wall and games for kids on the other like a truly old school pizza parlor. hand written specials are on a white board behind the counter where orders are taken by an employee with a friendly face. i'm looking forward to a return trip, and if i can get myself away from the pizza i might have to try their italian beef.

my last trip to greek tony's was probably ten years ago. so, when a friend at work mentioned going there, i decided to give the place another try. my friend also mentioned that the chicago italian beef was very good, so that is what i ordered.

for the uninitiated (which inludes me), the italian beef is typically very thin-sliced roast beef, topped with giardiniera. in this case, the giardiniera contained hot peppers and carrots. then the sandwich is bathed in au jus. this sandwich also had a bit of provolone. overall, it was an pretty good sandwich.

the owner. i hardly think that a business that has been in service for almost 28 years can over charge or short change there customers all these years and have terriblr food to go along with poor service could stay in business all these years. you people must have just opened up a pizza and sub shop in the area. our customers are very loyal

g00d valued foods. 27 years speaks volumes for a small business family owned. compared to the here today and gone tomorrow business that we all know. great family friendly foods. kids always welcome.a busy place that gets a good workout everyday. i like the gyro,and new york fatboy pizza. priced right hope it lasts another 27 years.good job

great pizza. this is a great mom and pop shop that has really good pizza and excellent service.
i am addicted to their antipasti salad even though it is iceberg lettuce. the dressing is really good.
i like the pizzas. great taste and new york style fold up.

best meatball sub. they have the best meatball sub in the city--however, they now charge to substitute banana peppers for green peppers (worth the .50). italian beef seems to be hit and miss--had today and was a little dry (even getting it "chicago style" or wet) but have had several times in the past and was very good. gyro is huge and okay--go to sam's gyros if you want the best in town.

i'm hungry. if i crave a gyro, this is where i go!

my friend and i ordered a carryout for lunch we were overcharged and when i brought it to the attention of the waitress she became rude! after discussing this with our office we were surprised to find out that this practice of overcharging is very common place for this restaurant. watch your bill !!!

this is s family-owned business with a variety of subs and pizzas to suit everybody's palate. i had a slice of supreme pizza and it was delicious! the salad was fresh. the owner is a gem of a guy and loves to explain the menu. overall, those in need of a family friendly environment, look no further!
