yes it is expensive. the food is great. good wines. waitresses are hot. i go a few nights a week.

what a surprise. we meet here for a business diner and our party was a total of 8 people. everyone enjoyed their main courses and ken was a great server. i had the roasted chicken with garlic and artichoke couscous - the chicken was a little overdone but the flavor was out of this world. my partner had the duck special and again the protein was a little overdone but the dish as a whole let him forgive. next time we are in town for business we will be back for sure!

wow. what a gem of a find- cute place- food was excellent, can not believe they have been at it for 25 years and still going strong ... on the. way back from our 40th anniversary at grove park inn in ashiville nc .. lovely stay but the food was better here at gourmet and company.. fries, soup, burger, salad and ice tea all was excellent. and very nice service with calm and pretty atmosphere---- thank you

gourmet & company. so disappointed to see the restaurant is not the way it was before, the price are higher and quantity is less and because we didn't call to reserve a sit, we were sitting in one corner next to door, while the most of the table were empty for the time we were there. . we are not going to this restaurant any more.

went in randomly for dinner/date night with my bf. food was good but overpriced. atmosphere and staff made us feel out of place. a little too snooty for me but may be enjoyable for some.

went there for the first time for lunch on valentine's day. i am over a certain age but felt i had stumbled into the geriatric ward. the food was over priced and unremarkable. cafe lola's is far superior as a gourmet eatery.

best lunch in east tennessee. we came and had some burgers and a pork belly blt for lunch. they were delicious. the lunch chef knew his stuff because the burger was cooked perfectly. we will be back.

this is a our go-to for the fine dining experience in the tricities. the closest thing locally that i can find to compare to some of the local places we used to eat at when we lived in the metro-atl area. never had a bad meal here. love their seasonal menus and the fact that support local farms and list those farms so you know where your food is coming from. great wine selection.

awesome lunch!. decided to go to lunch at gourmet and company and it was an excellent choice. i had no idea this place existed until my friend suggested it. i had the salmon with bacon and tomato risotto. it was savory and delicious. my friend had the fish tacos and she loved them. the service was very good. we will be back.

snooty staff.. i used to love gourmet! i would go about every other day. whether it was for lunch or dinner. but most of the staff are very snooty now a days. it used to be such a good atmosphere! but know it feels like we are all old ladies with our legs crossed and elbows off the tables. the food used to be fantastic but the other day,i went for lunch and got the apple salad as a side and the apples were brown! i was deeply disappointed and when i tried to tell the waitress she got very rude and even more snooty!
they also take too long most of the time,even if barely anyone is there.
though,if you go into their shops a few doors down,you'll fall in love! they have such great staff working and cute little things! they have the cutest jewelry,baby stuff,and dining ware. its the first place i look when i have to give a gift!

when in rome.... eat some italian food. when in johnson city, bfe nowhere tennessee, this is pretty solid. bartender was super cool. food pricy (like damn pricy given what it is), but it was creative enough and had a decent beer list. got a couple apps but in retrospect wish i'd gotten the lamb burger, that looked awesome. skip the crab cake & beef skewer app, at 13 bucks it was somewhat pathetic. oysters were pretty good though. someone in the kitchen is pretty heavy handed with the salt, just an fyi, in case you have a heart condition or something.
