dead and overpriced!. 4 of us were excited to try gordon's new restaurant and we were very disappointed . we went on a friday night about 8pm and maybe half the restaurant was full. the martinis are an average of $16 which is high even for la. the service is very strange. urbanspoon says the restaurant is $$$, it's not, its more like $$$$+. dinner for 4 came to almost $500. the food we had was pretty good, but the menu is very small and very pretentious even for la...slow braised octopus, beef cheek, pork belly... also, there are no entrees on the menu, everything is a tasting portions between $18 - $150 per portion. if you go there starving plan to drop some serious cash.
