they have a large and wide variety of different dishes. i had the roasted duck and chicken on rice which was pretty good. the duck wasn't deboned and i spent a great deal of time picking bones out of my mouth. also the sauce had an interesting flavor, sorta like lichorish, but it's left me hurting for awhile. great atmosphere and all but i doubt i'll be back

best asian food in okc. golden phoenix provides the best authentic tasting vietnamese and chinese food in the metro area. their ingredients are extremely fresh as they are physically connected to a supermarket. when you go, try getting out of the box. don't go for the general tsao's chicken or the pu-pu platter. try the delicious plate of barbeque pork with white rice. the many types of noodle soups will blow you away with their complexity and depth of flavor. the portions will definitely not leave you wanting.

good food, good prices. these are the dishes that i like so far: crispy pork and rice (served with delicious gravy!), pan fried squid, beef lo mein; korean short rib platter, pho with meatballs, beef flat noodles; singapore noodles, vermicelli bowl with spring rolls, and roasted duck with rice. my husband and i eat here often and we usually stick to what we know is good. i think i've only been disappointed twice in the last 3 years i've eaten there. sometimes service is slow and sometimes it's extremely cramped, but the food is good.

i have had way better. from the reviews on here i was expecting some amazing spread and food. so i rallied up the co-workers and we went to check it out. none of us were impressed with the food or the cramped layout of the tables.

always wonderful food and service!. the vietnamese food is amazing! my favorites are the 'special' [#4?] marinated pork spring rolls, the fried dumplings, the duck, the beef rapped in grape leaves, the [cold] beef salad...and the french style espresso coffee with sweetened condensed milk. they newly remodeled the entire place, too. 0x0x0x0 this restaurant!!

awesome service and great food!. we decided to try this place and were pretty overwhelmed by the menu! since i saw the duckhanging in the front of the restaurant as i walked in, i had to get that. the waitress also suggested a salad. so i got it and it was delicious (rare beef with mint, lime and roasted peanuts). can't wait to go back and try new dishes.

i am not normally one to step outside my comfort box for food but am i ever glad i did. the beef flat noodles were absolutely amazing (to say the very least) and the filet mignon beef tips in the garlic butter sauce on a bed of fried rice... words cannot describe the exquisiteness of this dish. i am so glad i work so close and cannot wait to go back and try more dishes, because believe me there are plenty to choose from.

one word: awesome!!!! everything is incredible. from the shrimp spring rolls to the cubed beef filet, this place is definitley golden in my book. another plus, the owner and entire staff are just incredibly nice! you won't be disappointed!

can't wait to go back. i've only been once, but i can't wait to go back again. i had heard from reputable sources is was great, so i went with a friend and we shared the lemongrass chicken and a cubed filet dish with a rich brown sauce. both dishes were very well seasoned and the beef was still very tender at about medium-rare to medium. the spice of the lemongrass chicken was perfect and the vegetables in both dishes were superb. we each had a soda and the bill was about $30, a steal for the quality of food we ate. mmmm!

a personal favorite. oooooh, i live for the eggplant & tofu in garlic sauce here! the white crab and asparagus soup is also excellent.

dizzing array of dishes on the massive menu, all the way from authentic vietnamese dishes to chinese specialties to (snore) cantonese-american dreck.

don't get seated by the west window in the wintertime -- it's awfully drafty. in the summertime, the sun's glare through the west window late in the day can drive one crazy.

golden phoenix, the west window aside, is easily one of the best restaurants in the little saigon district.

the menu is gigantic and nothing i've ordered from it yet has disappointed. for those without an exotic palate, try a standby like the orange chicken. incredible!
